Oh, the mix-and-match fornication chatter is part of the standard background noise on this forum. You have to sift through the static and figure out for yourself who seriously wants this to be a porn strip and who's just venting their sexual frustration in between relevant comments.

And who's just faking it to blend in...

Or just likes crude humor...

If there's one thing I learnt at school in film studies, it's that in terms of a noir, when a characters face is shaded to black it implies they have something to hide.

Ian has a hidden agenda.

Either that or he is just momentarily sad again as he thinks back on his dead family for a second...

Nah. Destruction is easy. Any idiot can break things and kill people. Sure, as he practices with Anilis's power, he can throw bigger and bigger fireballs, lightning bolts, earthquakes, etc. But at some point, the difference won't be that big a deal. I mean, does it really matter whether you can kill 100,000 people in one shot or 100,001? Especially if we assume that his magical defenses progress at a similar rate.

Ah but killing efficiently isn’t as easy. As in the difference between dropping meteors onto a 100k people and making magical bacteria that kills them in 2 weeks. Or say stopping their hearts with a few well placed electrical signals. Or making an army of horrible abominations who kill with a mere look and having them do the dirty work. Then it becomes a difference between 100k and 10million. Or just make your enemies horribly deformed and resistant to magical healing then wait for their successors to quickly sign a truce.

You only need to have enough power to destroy the universe once.

Adam, man's benefactor--he gave him all he has ever received that was worth having--Death.

All that sexual frustration should be put to good use ... like, powering a small city or something ...

Ian's scary look - when Poe draws his eye-sockets black - is very effective. Watch for that then this world's gonna burn

Yes . . . and the only voice that might save him, that might speak for reason over insanity, for the triumph of hope over despair, for life over destruction, is not St. Francis or Buddha, not Obi Won or Gandalf, not James T. Kirk or Jean Luc Picard, not even Richard Carlson or John Agar, but . . . Meji Hinadori.

We're screwed

Heh, actually this caring for Ian is making her pretty wise. Can help but wonder if she would have grown up this much if she found the "god" first.

Half-elves aparently have a high chance of genetic deformity. Normally this manifests as some incurable disease or extra "parts", but we know at least in some cases it manifests as mental illness, bloodlust, along with inhuman strength and magical abilities.

For all Ian knows, he could be converting a city full of sickly half-elves into an army of unstoppable Errant killing machines.

see : http://www.errantstory.com/wiki/index.php/Healing

Actually, some magical healing takes care of a lot of that. The details are left to the Goddess. 8-)

And that might be the scariest part of things...

Conservative, n. A statesman enamored of existing evils, as opposed to a Liberal, who wants to replace them with new ones.

I'm not doubting that Ian cured the whole coughing blood thing. I'm doubting that he has the slightest clue:
1) What the new "factory preset" is.
2) What else could possibly be wrong. He didn't 100% cure her eyesight problems, so if there was anything else it doesn't fall under the catagory of "healed".

More like "the devil is in the details" if you ask me.
