Grammatical/idiomatric nitpick:

"I mean, you can only smack someone in the face for saying something spectacularly backwards ass retarded <b>so many times</b> before it becomes a conditioned reflex."

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the sentence, but expressions like this are usually of the form "You can only [do something] [for so long/so many times/etc] before [something happens]"; not just "You can only [do something] before [something happens]", the meaning of which I'm not sure I would get. (Event E always follows from Action A? Or A is the only option until E? A is only an option until E, after which you can't A anymore? Something weird like that).

It's an understandable mistake with such a long complex verb phrase in there though. "smack someone in the face for saying something spectacularly backwards ass retarded" is a lot longer than "do something".

In the next panel, he has a bruise over his <i>left</i> cheekbone. Finally, the last panel, he is holding a hand up to the painful point of impact, again on the <i>left</i> side of his face.

Maybe, but I can't seem to remember Alice having Goddess powers or have the potential to blast Ralphie-boy through his bus, gloat over his dying body, and bring it back to full health to lord it over him. I'm sure she wanted to, but I don't remember seeing that. Of course Jackie Gleason would've felt nothing what with the copious amounts of booze in his system killed his nerve endings.

Of course now I've got the thought of Ian walking sheepishly to Meji and saying, "Baby...You're the Greatest" then proceed to make out as it fades to black.

Errant story has a MWF update schedule. Updates are usually posted between 1-3am GMT-5 the night before, but it's been known to vary somewhat. Either way, barring some unforeseen circumstances, it'll be up before tomorrow morning.

Very somewhat indeed. It's generally only worth it to stay awake if you're an insomniac anyway, unfortunately. Unlike many other strips, Errant Story knows if you're awake and watching for the update, and being evil, through its hellish comic powers it delays the update until fifteen minutes after you've given up and gone to sleep. This is generally shown the next day by the thread creation date of whoever actually was awake (although many people, myself included, rarely if ever make threads so this is not a surefire measure).

Or live in a timezone where it isn't the middle of the night.
