The possibilities range from fully functional woman, cured of whatever disease previously afflicted her, to barely animate flesh golem barren of any original soul. Hell, she might still be just a corpse... just an intact one. Ian might be animating her with telekinesis.

The lattermost option is what I suspect- that Ian's subconscious mind is just using her freshly regenerated body as a puppet, making it act according to his memory of her personality, but with no independant consciousness of her own.

Or maybe she really is back from the crypt none the worse for wear, in which case there's bound to be further complications in other ways that I/we have not forseen.

Yes, any man can get it up while still freshly dead. It is just a muscle powered by hormons. All that is required is cellular life and not brain-activity (though once you stop breathing you don't have much time before the cells suffocate).

Uh, actually it's erectile tissue that must be filled with blood in order to go from flaccid to functional, so cellular life and hormones don't matter a damn unless there's an intact and active circulatory system to inflate it.

This reminds me of how that Episode about a guy who revived Rubia in Slayers. She was a soulless body and he ends up suiciding with her after pledge stone is borked.

I like the wordless-ness of this sequence. Less words == less spelling mistakes

The glowing eyes both ways, is that evidence of some sort of communication?

Also, nice tits.

I'd still wager on that being Anilis in that newly reconstructed body. Whether she claims to be Lynn or not. And its not impossible that Ian is dying right now.

Well, he might have fixed her body, but was he able to drag her soul back from wherever it was?

I suspect she's about to bite his face off, with Meji having to kill her in self-defense, thus earning Ian's wrath, or somesuch awesomeness.

In all honesty, Poes just been getting more and more out of Ian, and I'm just WAITING for something bad to happen. Somethings gotta give, and each page makes me think the break is getting bigger and bigger...

+1 Relevant Slayers reference.

Anyone thinking that maybe Anilis AND Exitalis were hitching a ride?

Nah. She didn't have to dig her way out of her own grave, and there's no demon rampaging through the town at the moment. So, while it might be a little disconcerting, it wouldn't necessarily be completely traumatizing.

Yeah, that is a possibility, but this isn't really a zombie situation. Ian didn't raise a corpse, he reconstructed a complete and familiar body from decay residue hydrocarbons. This is not something you can fake your way through by blaming nanotechnology or the mysteries of the arcane ether. It requires divine power and probably some nasty divine consequences.

Not necessarily. I don't think house fires typically burn with quite the heat of a crematorium.

And unless her own bed was doused in heating oil too, she probably died of smoke inhalation and 2nd to 3rd degree burns.

She's going to come back, normal, fully ressurrected, healthy, etc. Then something is going to kill her again. And the rez won't work a second time. And Ian will be PISSED.

Or, you know, she'll just be alive again.

They don't have to. Human bodies burn nicely on their own. Panel 2 of todays comic shows how much was left of the body.

Also, she'd been underground and not embalmed for several months.

Nice coffin, though. Apparently Santuriel can afford that, at least.
