Yeah. If she has any mind at all beyond the petty animal instincts that come with the hardware, it shows one of two things. Either it proves the existence of tangible mortal souls after death that remain within the power of the socalled 'gods'... or that a new mind is going to be constructed based on Ian's memories of his sister. Should the latter prove true, the question is if it is going to be dependant on Ian or not. Will the body just collapse to inactivity if Ian gets too far away or goes to sleep or dies, or will this constructed persona continue to function by its own power.

I am thinking it would. Once all the patterns in the brain are set up in the right manner, they should function as if they had developed normally over a normal half-elf lifespan. A sufficiently exact copy of a thing has, for all intents and purposes, become that thing. She just might have big fucking holes in her memory and be more fitting of his ideal for her.

Yeah. Now its being used as the raw material for her skin.

I am optimistic that she will be a-ok.

What happens next (with the elves) isn't going to impress Ian too much though.

At least until Sarna does that thing to Sarine that makes her squeal and fall to her knees. I imagine Ian will be displaying a DO WANT expression after he sees that.

Which, if Sarine currently has that freaky crystal sword in her possession at the time, might be as simple as blowing in her ear. Considering how it vastly enhances all sensation, actual sex might be fatal.

Nice coffin, though. Apparently Santuriel can afford that, at least.

Or the Samael's have a friend that builds really nice coffins.

I still LoL at Meji's confusion over burial methods. She's used to incineration, and now she can see why :D

With the sheer amount of ambient magical energy floating around Tsuraiku(sp?), zombie attacks might be the largest killer after exploding toilets if they didn't cremate their dead.

Of course their toilets might not explode so often if they would stop flushing the fucking ashes down them. :argh:

Another question is how honest will Ian be with reconstructing Evelyn's mind. Will she be how he remembered her, or how he wish she was? Or maybe a part of his self-loathing will be channeled into this 'new Evelyn's' personality?

If that's the case, anyways.

For some reason, I keep thinking of this flash animation when I look at Ian.

... and yeah, you're probably all gonna hate me now for infecting that upon you.

This is a tad off topic, but as there seem to be a number of Mythers here it's not too far off... in the GURPS adaptation of the Myth setting, there's a little blurb in there somewhere about why the people of the Myth world (which, for those unfamiliar, is nearly destroyed by massive undead armies every thousand years) don't simply cremate their dead. Apparently the answer is that they tried that, and the transient divinity which raises these undead armies every millenium just managed to make even worse things out of the ashes. I've always wondered what sort of worse zombie-esque creature might be made out of a pile of ash.

Hopefully we're about to find out... on the next... Errant Story.

And you need to be run through a meat-grinder, packaged up in dog food cans and sent out to feed the starving poodles of the world.

So why do they call a three ounce can of dog food "Fancy Feast", anyways?

Okay, how about <i>"Next, on Veronica Mars!" </i>

That ups the IQ of the phrase about forty points.

i hate to say it but it seems alot of people seem to think this is something like full metal alchemist type ressuruction. this isnt alchemy, its divine power (or so it seems)
I think most people wont really argue that a god, or the power of a god, could revive the dead without mishap (not that i actually read the bible or whatever its called)
so it seems to me that if he is in fact powered by an actual god, i think this will all come out just fine.
if he just got a super buff from a god, then i dunno gl with that.....
regaurdless, i hope she stays naked for at least a few more panels.
