But aren't those the best parts of any story?

Well that settles it, Ian went epic.

I'd say he went Wiz 3 Clr 17 and is now doing his epic quest to achieve god like ranks and eventually usurp his pantheon's leading god.

Also he must have one hell of a int and wiz modifier.

Then hit yourself on the head with a hammer until you pass out so that when you wake it it will, hopefully, be tomorrow and you can read the next strip.

That last panel is really something. I hope Ian survives, the Ian from that panel looks interesting. Summerian-deity interesting.

Back here, before they head up the hill, you can see his hands are clearly ungloved. Also, here, you can see unadorned hands.

I'd also take Meji's comment of "you're bleeding!" that he's tearing the skin from his hands/burning them with the force of the energies he's manipulating.

However, if you look here http://www.errantstory.com/archive.php?date=2007-01-31
as Ian is healing people his hands are dark.
In Poeverse it could be a sign of using powerful magic...

or it could be to show contrast with the "magical" energy he is manipulating.

????

I mean, I know what you're talking about over here, and I know what you're talking about over there...but how you go back and forth between the two...that, I don't get.

I happen to be more interested in seeing if Meiji survives and passes her exam.

I see that pic and the face of the guy pointing the gun has quite a resemblence to Ollie. Perhaps he decided to do something "extra" while he was having his vacation in Dublin.*

*Read his LJ for info

Yes, that is true it is from "Matrix" but when I first saw it I didn't think Matrix or Keanu "Whoa" Reaves but instead thought of Ollie...mostly because I read his latest entry in my LJ friends list.

I'm mixed on this. On the one hand, I like the well-drawn, reflective fluffy-bunny bits, where everyone drinks tea and smooches. Then again, I don't know, the odd explosive, possibly multi-perverse (shouldn't Leah have riding reverse cowgirl there?) sadomasochistic-whatever-elven-sexual act does tend to brighten an otherwise drab existence. *sigh* Maybe I should get out more ...

Wow...interesting dichotomy there. Anything that isn't freaky group sex and/or random massive destruction is just fluffy-bunny?

I've liked the fights so far -- what so many seem to be calling for is the obliteration of whole continents.

I thought the "encounter" between Jon and Sarine was well-written and completely within the story -- what so many seem to be calling for is random group sex between character who haven't even met yet, and would often be more likely to try to shove blades and whatnot into each other.

With a little practice, you can enjoy the cheerfully perverse comments when you wish to and just read around them otherwise.

Which I believe is what Poe does. If he took all of that seriously he would have converted this to a pure porn novel years ago.
