Hah!
I think her purge of Gwehr is going to fail. Jon isn't the only clever
bastard among them. Note that Paul is only sending a
few monks
thus, radically underestimating the Gewehr.
Anita still refuses to see both that Sarine is much tougher than she is
and that Jon was indeed a major factor in the battle. True, Sarine would
have been chipped beef on toast were it not for Jon. But that doesn't
change the fact that Anita is seriously underestimating both elves and
humans (or over estimating her monks).
The monks are so highly trained that they're predictable. That's a very
sharp edge in favor of the Gewehr.

I think there's a huge difference between Warrel taking his time and
getting himself killed and Sara captured via his own idiocy and 6 full
monks running an extermination. Lest we forget, Sara single
handedly eradicated a gathering of Wraiths early in the comic and
took no damage except to one sleeve. Imagine six full monks, with the
full knowledge of Anita's fury if they fail behind them, simply doing
the job instead of stopping to talk. I think the extermination is going
to go exceedingly well in most respects, but Jon will either escape or
not be there for some other reason.
1) That was a surprise attack, before the Gewehr even knew the Ensigerum
existed. Let alone what their capabilities are.
2) Jon's going to ground again anyway. There is no way he is going to
let his bosses have his sister. Their way of neutralising a problem
prisoner is amputation of all limbs, followed by a bullet to the brain
after interrogation. Jon's not going to let that happen. His next move
is to take Sara to his own safe-house and with the help of Sarine (who
is also a soft touch), try to rehabilitate his sister.
3) However, he warns his bosses that the hit was a trap and that two
time mages showed up. Pauls information is days old and much after Jon
got away with Sara. The Gewehr are either long gone, from both locations
(Jon warned them), or we have a pair of boobies traps, designed to catch
monks.
That last point is the most interesting. Anita and Paul aren't even
thinking of that possibility. Ain't arrogance fun?
