But this month's donation wallpaper is so cool I really felt it was important to start a thread for it.

Here's a slightly larger preview of it:
<img src="http://www.errantstory.com/feh/baniwallpaper400x300.jpg">

Originally, the Bani design was intended for the bookmark this month, so the background was at a different proportion with a more vertical emphasis. However, when Michael showed me the pre-finalized piece, I couldn't stand to put something so vibrant and glowing onto a tiny 2 x 6 inch bookmark where you wouldn't be able to see as much of the detail, so I asked him if he could make it into the wallpaper, instead, with the intent to make it into prints.

Obviously, the answer was yes.

Hmm, I don't believe I've ever tried getting one of those. Looks good.

Oh, gotta try that. Wish I could afford to donate more, but my doctor told me today that a diet of mac' and cheese isn't good for me.

Eh, I didn't post about it to solicit donations or anything. For the most part I try to avoid having many threads about that, just because it's not what the focus of this board should usually be.

This particular piece is just so pretty, though, and it makes me happy on some indefinable level, so I made the exception and started a thread for it because I wanted to share that.

It sort of looks like European currency. I like it, the ERNT, the EURO,and the USD! You might want to think about ERNTs as convention handouts.

The Errant Buck :wink:

Very nice!

BTW, that's something that Tsuiraku would do, introduce currency. Based on a unit of magical work. It would be non-counterfietable because it is infused with magic.

And what then, magical counterfeiting?

The currency itself would contain wards against making copies. They would also ward against destruction and alteration.

Think of it, the Tsuiraku Yen :-P

Since Tsuiraku means 'falling crash', the fallen Yen :-P :-P :lol:

Counterfiting stops when it's more expensive to produce reasonably good copies than the nominal value of the bill (hopeful amateurs and suckers who believe them don't count). Until then 'where's the will, there's the way'.

Unlikely that anyone else cares, but I approve of Bani wearing OSHA reg (or GI issue) goggles while casting spells. One of those common sense details old-fashioned wizards forget about, to their peril when an experiment goes awry!
