Sorry, I failed to see the relevance to the discussion. The project description used the word 'archaic', so it wouldn't imo suggest the ban is due to hubris, but rather some perceived dangers.
Ah, I went back and read that whole, tortuous thread, and you are right.
You are talking about a specific area of research being banned. Serves me right for working and not paying enough attention to the thread
