WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE

[edit] fixed the date.

MOAR STUFF: I LoL'd hard at Jon and Sara's mutual expression there. Classic stuff.

Shame. This team Vs. all those mages there would of been an Epic level flash show. It would of made Ian's little stunt look like childs play.

Well, theres always hope Sarine could fuck up and have to fight their way out...

And you know, considering what the last elven ambassador did in his off time, why do I think the 'servents' are going to be thought as 'sex toys' by the other humans?

I am perhaps being unreasonably optimistic about this, but it rather seems like there will in fact be an Epic level flash show before too much longer.

Whether it turns out to be Elves vs. Ian or ((something not-Tsuiraku)) vs. Tsuiraku or Ensigerum vs. Meji or all of the above, there ought to be more than enough scorched real estate to go around.

Cool! Only one tiny little fib. Sarine is a retired ex-Viradior and she'd rather serve the Ambassador up on toast.

Cutting Sara, Jon, and Ellis loose like that gets them out from under mage scrutiny as well, slick. On the other hand, she now has to sit through some rather boring briefing sessions.

Jon and Sara know what they have to do regarding finding Meji and they can buffer the meeting between Meji and Sarine better this way.

Like the three of them, plus Meji, v The Ambassador's party? We finally get to see how Yuuki staves work?

I like how Sara and Jon show the same "WTF!" body language.

It seems kinda funny.. this way Sarine can directly find out the names of Meji's family, the name of the ambassador that screwed her mum, as well as the location of Meji's school.

The mages aren't even thinking twice about asking her to prove her identity (and if the locks on the Elven council doors are any indication, she could wing it anyway) so I'm not going to put it beyond Sarine to pull as many strings as the super-fantabulous elf she is, can.

Also, I'd just like to point out that it's unlikely that Ellis can take them to Meji's EXACT position, so it's appears even more probable that the current trio will all converge on the Hinadori estate, much to the chagrin of it's actual owner.

Concrete of the mind forms, and I leave the abstract reasoning to more capable people.

Geeze, for an experienced assassin, Jon sure gets flustered easily in front of cops and officials. What's he gonna do next, fart in church? Get your act together, Amraphel!

I assume that Jon's assignment is locating Meji, if possible, and getting her story. Meanwhile, he and Sara can gawk at the affluence around them. Sara doesn't seem the type to go gagah at the sight of a shopping mall, but she's been very self-contained so far in the story.

I'm laid back enough to wait for someone else to post the thread that lets me know the update has arrived, rather than frantically reloading the page with bloodshot eyes for hours on end.

It comes with the bonus of mocking the thread's chosen title!

An image of being introduced as the 'new girl' in school comes to mind though...

And having to deal with ditsy teens her physical age, but far below her mature age (which is about 2000 yrs old, if measured by level of cynicism and world weariness). Not to mention some latent jealousy when she sees Jon's behavior to his faux-surrogate little sister, Meiji.

Nah, mate. I was having lunch and a Renversi (what you lot would call a cappucino) at the Buffet Du La Gare with a friend. 8-)

I wear shades because I'm a programmer and always have bloodshot eyes anyway. :-3 That way no one will call an ambulance, thinking that I'm bleeding to death through my eyes. :-P

For all her elven resentments, Sarine is still an elven snob. :-D

I would still bet more on the foursome vs. school faculty. Got to tout my horn.

Bellofthedamned- or it may that she tired to act more "elven-ly" in front of the mage guys.

I think Sarine is just imbued with that instinctive sense elven superiority. This is a golden opportunity for the group to pick up local intellegence from a variety of sources to get an idea of what is going on.

She had 3000 years to perfect the role.

They may have weapons but Sarine has the power of Aristocratic sneer on her side.

Actor.

The real question is: what did they find amiss ? Sarine being an elf or Sara's time magic?

Or just the weapons who know's. Incidently it seems someone called Sarine's reaction correctly. Now me I'm wondering if its a new Elven ambassador + investigation squad to find out what the last one was up to and if necessary eliminate a few half elves, the old ambassador + guards to ensure he doesn't mess up again or something else?

EDIT
I do like Jon's reaction when he realized that they had weapons out (staves are fun) personally I'm hoping for an Elf + Tusarkiel vs Vaccine? + Ensengarm firefight and I KNOW I GOT NAMES WRONG BUT ITS MIDNIGHT HERE SO CUT ME SOME SLACK.

"Oh bloody fuck... [Did my partners already draw their weapons and start killing everyone in sight]?"

He's half expecting to be dragged into a giant fight against a city of mages by a pair of skittish females, and you're saying he's flustered based on those comments?

And based on Jon's comment about weapons, it seem they still got their stuff with them... Which makes me wonder; where did Sara hide her blade? Magical Girl Style?

Those blades power down into nothing more than fancy rods or staves.

While it's possible Tsuiraku magi might have knowledge of them despite their limited use* in the past, it's equally likely that they weren't recognized for their true nature off-hand.

*As merely ceremonial dueling weapons before the disappearance of the city.
