Jealous? Nah, I don't think that either.

I don't think she gives a rat's *ss about how she looks to the neighbors. And I agree that jealousy doesn't seem right either. If there is anything going on at all with that look -- and "the lights are on but nobody's home" is consistent with that facial expression too -- it must be concern that something requiring steam cleaning is about to happen on her carpet, either shedding of Meji's blood via bullet or pieces of Jon getting hurled around by magical violence. It's the steam cleaning that concerns her, not the violence, if the last time I saw that look in real life means anything.

Even though she looks like she's 13.

I'd also like to bring up the possibility that Sara will care, but refuse to show it for a long time, and then yell and scream about it later in a rare outburst of emotion.

That's got my vote.

Considering just how thoroughly Meji can take care of herself, I don't think Mrs H. actually loses points for not being sufficiently concerned about her kid (i.e., assuming the neighbors know anything at all about the family or the school Meji goes to).

Wow, I forgot about this guy.

Think we'll ever see him again?

Anyway, that might work, only what if they caught her while she was sleeping and somehow stopped her from casting?

Edit: Or a poisoned arrow...

Sara appears to be going along with Jon and Sarine because she doesn't have any idea what to do now that she's likely to be Kill on Sight status with the monks. And although very angry with him, his explanation was enough to defuse any satisfactory reason to kill him. She's not likely to revert to lil' sis mode, but I would hope to see her starting to learn how to relate to people as more than an obedient assassin, and not wanting to lose sight of Jon again.

Meiji, despite apparently being a nymphomaniac, doesn't seem particularly interested in getting Jon naked, but as a travelling companion he did do a lot of saving of her ass and I think she's aware that she owes him something of a debt, though she's not likely to acknowledge that.

I don't so much expect to see jealousy between Sara and Meiji over Jon, but certainly an interesting clash of personalities if they do all end up travelling again. Sara and Meiji are pretty much the complete opposite of each other, and between them are sure to drive Jon completely insane.

The Jon/Sarine dynamic is kinda quiet at the moment, but I enjoy the way they bicker.

People keep calling Sara a "stone-cold killer", but to gain that title, you have to kill someone. I don't think she has yet; she fluffed her test. Someone's bound to correct me ...

What with the prevalent use of flashbang spells, you'd think someone would come up with insta-polarizing sun-glasses.

Holy croop! I can't believe I forgot that part!

Yes, Sara has killed. No, she doesn't enjoy it. She's an assassin. It's her job. She's not allowed to enjoy it.

I don't think "enjoy" is part of Sara's vocabulary at the moment. However, in the windmill sequence, she didn't seem to feel any distress at whacking the Gewehr guys. It was just one of those things that you do. Get up in the morning, take a shower, brush your teeth, eviscerate half a dozen men. What's to dislike about it? At least if you're Sara.

She probably didn't like getting smacked in the chops by Warrel afterward, and that's about the only place where like/don't like entered into it at all.
