Oh, I wasn't laughing at you, or at your English really, I just found that funny in isolation. I didn't even it read it as "sucky English" or with some kind of accent.

(I didn't took your remark as an attack, that's just that you made me realised that I had skiped once again a grammar rule that I should remember.
No hard feeling, really :-) )

People actually don't believe that the Titanic sunk?

Uhh okay, it's like the most famous boat sinking in the whole world, for reasons I hope I don't have to repeat.

I pity you.. Jim-guy, for having been exposed to such stupid people.

They should make a Hindenburgh movie, just so I can go around telling people the blimp crashes.

No, the blimp crashes in Black Sunday and A View to a Kill. The Hindenburgh was a zeppelin (a dirigible). It crashes in The Hindenburg, though.

I guess maybe they thought the Titanic was like one of those disaster films like Deep Impact, The Core, The Day After Tomorrow, and Glitter... maybe they thought that the end of the movie was negotiable.

<i>Glitter...</i> *shudders*

Much as I love spending time with friends, a movie, and alcohol, I still want those precious, precious minutes of my life back. Usually, I feel that even a bad experience offers value and expands one's life by having been endured... but not that one.

Oh, and I'm back from Chicago for the time being. *waves* I will almost certainly have to return there shortly, though, as I didn't even get started on half the packing tasks associated with l'appartement de ma grand-mère. I feel well-compensated for my time, though... the apartment has what I firmly believe is one of the best views in Chicago. It's on the 24th floor of a building in Hyde Park, and it looks out on both the lake (with a spotless beach and breakers in the distance) and the front of the Museum of Science and Industry (which, now that it has lawns instead of a parking lot out front, is gorgeous. Though the construction workers in the interim weren't half-bad scenery either). In fact, if only I could afford said apartment, it's probably one of only about four that I would consider anywhere in the Chicago area, and obviously it'd be my first choice even if it is only a one-bedroom. Sadly, I cannot afford it, though lord do I ever wish the family could somehow keep it.

Also, why am I suddenly trying to type en français? I had to retype half that last paragraph in English. *grumbles*

You know it's a zeppelin. I know it's a zeppelin. The people who thought the Titanic might make it wouldn't know the difference. In fact, they might ask "What's a zeppelin?" Then I'd be forced to explain it, and they'd say, "Oh, like a blimp?"

Because your brain betrayed the true "you"?

It happens to me all the time; answering in Dutch when the question was in German. One forgets what language one is supposed to be thinking in. One even, occasionally, forgets to think altogether. :-3

The latter assisted by vast quantities of wine. This is a good-thing<tm>.

Just great. You've gone French on us, and your sister Squichi (Is that what she calls herself) overdosed on my Doctor Who collection and is now stuck in a semi-perminant Brittish accent. We're about two accents and a funny hat away from being the European Union.

It would take more than Rifftrax to make that movie watchable... hell, you could stick a 30 minute long hardcore lesbian threesome between Mariah Carey and her two annoying hanger-on friends into the movie and it still wouldn't make the film worth it.

Glitter came out on September 11th 2001, history will show that this was the worst event to occur on this day.

Yes, it really really was.

Actor.

That the twin towers attack was a mass suicide after everyone in the buildings were given free tickets?

Wait, is it an English lynch mob? Be there for tea and crumpets, I assume.
