it really is a nice little language, and has proven to be fast to code, if not that fast to run. Still, I work in systems programming for SCM and distribution systems, so speed isn't that crucial, but maintainability is.

Let the indent wars begin!

Sorry, python doesn't work with IIS servers too well and hates to co-exist with PHP5. :cry:

My bread and butter comes from PHP5 these days.

I sympathise. I maintain some internal websites constructed on PHP5. It's not pretty or nice but it works.

Now that's sad! Java, at best, is a subset of O-O programming ... by their own admission! As such, it is totally inappropriate for CS and CE curriculums, except for showing what the commercial sector is doing.
