I'm rather entertained by her "Why do you think I gave it to you." and we find out that Nanoa is paid for by grandpappy.

I'm not suprised. She's an hieress fercrisake! Families with that much dough don't have to work, even if the good ones choose to. :roll:

However, it sounds like our psycho mage chick got her manners and sense from her cat. I like how Sara just got up and walked away from the irritant(s). Small wager that she's going over to Sarine and Jon to find up what's up. Same small wager that Friday's strip has an explanation or at least, more clues than we got off this one. :-(

Ugh. Once again, Ellis' Tourette's Syndrome occupies time and oxygen that could have been spent in human interaction. Meji is in full spoiled-brat mode, and Sara does the most dignified thing she can do in this situation.

Thread should have been titled, "Totally like, best friends forever and shit".

At least she's trying to get to know Sara, even if she can't help but be...well, Meji about it.

Meji = bitch?

I bet Sara is the sort of person who makes good conversation, if you actually prove you're worth it. Meji at least, hasn't been any more, or less, annoying than she was with Jon.

In Meji's rant to Jon about female mages and the use of polymorph spells, Jon gave a similar gaze (though more exasperated and less annoyed than Sara's).

if and only if? Most brats are bitches, and most bitches were brats. I think the separation comes with the age difference. A kid can be a brat, but when she/he matures, he/she is just a bitch. Meji is maturing, so I guess that makes her a bitch.

A lovable, hot-tempered bitch whom we couldn't do without in the comic, but a bitch nonetheless.

I was going to disagree with this, but then I remembered my last social interaction with my boss, who has a personality that's sorta like Meji and Ellis rolled into one. I believe I gave him the same gaze. You may be onto something here.

Pretty much, yeah. Ellis is about the only thing I don't like about ES. And I think that's magnified by the fact that his comments remind me so much of some of our fellow posters here: crude, inappropriate, disgusting, and gratuitous.

More people need to do that to Meji.

I don't think Sara is the kind to make any conversation at all. With her monk teacher, she was pretty quiet and to the point. She hardly finished her sentences at all.

With Chris, the longest conersation we've seen yet, she just let him know that he was deluding himself and that the teachers hated him and killed his father. She didn't offer any kind words, or seem to care much about it. That's not 'good conversation'.

With Jon she just had a little outburst and then went back to quiet mode. With Sarine she hardly spoke at all. When they arrived in Tsuirakushiti she simply answered a question.

So, she either has a standard for "good enough for conversation" that noone in the story so far has met, or she just isn't into the whole 'conversation' thing too much.

This would be a better world if more people had the dignity and sense to walk away.
