I wonder how much the truth would've worked with Miyo.

I mean she's kept a candle burning for Rarune for almost two decades now. I don't think that I'm the only one who believes that this probably turned to illogical obsession after that long period of time.

By now, Miyo's perception of Rarune must somehow include a white steed, a pure heart, and the strongest jawline possible.

I liked the sarcastic part of Sarine comment:

"... but based on past events he'd probably like it"

Meaning

"... since he seemed to enjoy so much screwing you to the point he made you pregnant, yeah emphasizing* your ass and your hips, and padding your boobs would most likely work well on him..."

That is a gold's comment with Miyo answer:

"Thank you Sarine, I really appreciate this"

* emphasizing ??? The -sizing- part seems wrong to me, is that a tipos pblm or just my weak english?

Edit: oky, thanks.

So, no. No problem. I assume that the pun is unintentional.

When in doubt, google is a quick & easy spellcheck. Typos are another problrm, though.

The difference between Brit's English and 'Merikun; Brits use a lot of 'z's instead of 's's and throw in many gratuitous 'u's. There are other differences.

In my opinion, the only true English is The Queen's English. Which I'm still learning. We Yanks use a lot of z's as well, though. Examples: emphasize, minimize, maximize, apologize, tenderize, harborize, vendorize, etc.

"Willing to sleep with humans" is not the same thing as "friendly with the half-elves." If there was a racial dimension to the Errant War, I can't find it. Got a reference?

As close as I got: In fact, some began to think of half-elves as their own distinct race...

This is why some call the Errant War an act of attempted genocide.

So, yes to some, it definitely had a racial dimension.

The Queen's language is Dutch and her name is Beatrix :-P

'Merikuns don't have Queens, except those living in the Castro and similar places. You don't speak with a lisp, do you? That might explain a few things

I think what he means is how much each of the Elven races were commited to the Errant War.

It's clear what he meant and you at least read with a lisp.

Edit:Amazing how extra commas change the meaning of a sentence.

The 'u's are correct, but Brits use 's's where Americans use 'z's. (I'm sure you know this and just got it mixed up, so the rest is just general info.)

Examples (US, UK):
Legalize Legalise
Standardization Standardisation
Color Colour
Defense Defence

There's more - it's not just spelling, there's grammar differences too. This Wikipedia page probably has more than you ever wanted to know. :eng101:

Australian english is mostly English english with some bastardisation here and there.

MSOffice and its ludicrous spell check always auto-spells everything to American English and the Computers at Uni were locked so you couldn't permanently changed them you had to do it every time you started them up.

Maybe I wasn't clear (despite all the stuff that followed). I can find no evidence that any particular race of elves was more likely to side with the half elves in the Errant War than others. Of course the Errant War itself was a race war, at least if the half elves are considered a race. But did it divide the races of elves? Not demonstrated.

Of course there's definite evidence that the Rinkai were friendlier with humans than were the other races of elves. Sarine said as much. We still don't know how that translates to half-elf relations, however.

It's the same across the ditch.

I hate MSword with a passion.

When you grow up reading British novels as often as American novels, it really, REALLY messes up your ability to spell anything consistently.

Throw in that some of those novels were turn of the century stuff... and it gets even worse. Then, when you join the internets for extended periods of time, it all goes out the window.

I'm now dependent upon my computer to tell me if I'm spelling something correctly or not. Sadly, I have a larger vocabulary than my computer appears to have, and this means that I am slowly losing that vocabulary because I can no longer spell it with confidence.

hi hi

It seems to me like Sarine is setting herself up to meet Rarune in person and influence his decisions. She already told Jon that she's not going to be able to flee the city with them, and I'd bet she's deliberately plotting to meet up with the elven delegation. She ought to be able to find out for herself if Rarune is planning on killing Meji after he finds out about it from Miyo.

The cure for this is a Custom dictionary and I have quite a large one built up.

Thats why I keep a dictionary with me when school is in. I forget how to spell things but use words that just confuse my classmates.

My spelling is almost perfect (most misspellings are typos), but I rarely use words above the 3rd grade level. I find that too many people get confused when I say them. When I speak with family, it gets strange, because they're all used to using college level words (no matter who they talk to ), whereas I'm used to using words that everyone will understand. It gets a little difficult talking about religion, politics, mathematics, science, or various other things with someone who thinks you have the vocabulary of a 9 year old.

Back on topic, though, Sarine didn't say anything about whether or not any race of elves was more supportive or sympathetic to half-elves in the Errant War. That doesn't mean that a racial difference in support didn't exist, just that it wasn't mentioned, so we don't KNOW if it existed.

Edit: Oh, BTW: I prefer the archaic way of speaking. Don't know why, I just do.

Can you use simpler words, they are too hard for me to understand.
