not really any memorable quotes. Though i really enjoyed the last panel, where we have our group of heroes, walking shoulder to shoulder towards their unknown destination(ok, Bani's house....)

100th post, i'm moving up :-)

Congrats, you got first post.

Now, go look at the wallpaper, and tell me if you like it better or worse than the last panel, because I am curious.

always up this late/early? :-)

I'm actually more for the last panel. I think the mood and lighting in the wallpaper is too cheerful(with both Jon and Meji smiling). With a bit of dark shadows cast by trees and the sun not directly above them would probably have helped.

When looking at the last panel there is the determined and teethclenched look on our heroes(setting Meji apart since she has a somewhat sorrowful look on her face, and Sara as always looking distanced)

Post Scriptum: damn you for making me ruin my nice round "100" post figure.....

Hm, colors aside, wallpaper is better because Meji is in better mood, but Sara looks slightly better in the comic. I'd like to see Sara lighten up a bit, she's better off now and everything - it makes for a more dramatic reversal when they stumble on Ensigerum again. ('Rats, and I tought I've seen the last of you guys'. (dashed hopes and all that))

Mommy might not, but grandfather might have taken the time to check up on Bani. Still, even if he has, I don't think he would be the sort to reveal it.

Hm, 18 strips so far in this chapter, so is it time for a new one, 'cause this one makes such a good ending for the chapter?

Found wallpaper, like it :-)

It's better than todays last panel because Meji looks all bummed out in the last panel. Everyone looks more upbeat in the wallpaper. The lighting's better too.

I think the wallpaper and today's last panel are both nice in different ways. There's a time to be cheerful, and there's a time to be stern or bummed out.

Dusk fer sure

It's once more speculation time!

Rarune: Knows nothing about Santauriel's existance; knows nothing about Meji; Has no clue about what he's walking into. His probable actual mission is clue-up Tsuiraku Councilors on the hunt for the evil feral half-elves. When he finds out about Meji, he's going ballistic.

I hope that's when Poe let's us find out what happened to Tsuiraku's half-elves, (perhaps by pointing out that ALL Tsuirakuans are half-elves? [yes, that is one of the current theories]).

I like the last panel best, Hil. Kind of has that "lone band of rogue heroes out to save the world" feel. The cracks in the house and the background make it look like their in a world struck by desolation.

I can almost hear the loud banging rock music that echoes with their every step.

The wallpaper's nice too, don't get me wrong. It's more fun and playful if that's what you're looking for.

I'm inclined to agree with finalcarrots the wallpapers nice but I actually prefer the whole vibe of the last panel the look of Sarine in that dark coat with that expression is just adorable. Of course I feel rather sorry for Meiji hope you have a happy ending for her. :-D

The panel has a sense of foreboding about it - both Sara's and Meji's expressions are slightly worried and the wind is whipping Sara's air, it's an urban landscape. The wallpaper is happy forest - a Sherwood Forest feel about it. Again, Sara's and Meji's expressions are different, happier.

What, "Nanoa, I need you to come and pin this up" isn't memorable enough for you?

As good as the wallpaper is, I like the last panel.

I don't think it's a matter of cheery vs somber. I think that panel has a sense of determination, purpose, and awe (the city) which REALLY adds to the story. Blah, blah, blah, long story short, the last panel excites me.

P.S. Bah! I made a donation and my work blocked the "Return to merchant" link for my wallpaper. No, they didn't block the comic, forum, or paypal. Just that.

Wonder what Bani's house is going to be like? Remember that during the flashback sequence, she was impressed that Meji, or at least her grandfather, lived in a "real big-ass, eff'n HOUSE!" -- implying that she herself did not.

It seems like an important question, because I agree with the previous writers, this doesn't seem like the kind of place you go to if you really want to disappear. If it's an apartment, many other people will see them coming and going, even if they studiously avoid paying attention. If it's a crackerbox row house, there too there will be people watching, and they may pay more attention. One would think that by now Meji would be sufficiently worldly-wise, and sufficiently cautious once the initial glow of seeing dad fades, to look for somewhere more obscure. We'll see.
