We've finally gotten a design for an ES shirt done. It will be on a black tee as usual, but we're indecisive on what color to make the image. So we thought we'd leave the choice up to you guys.

Hopefully we can get the shirt done in time for Dragoncon so the sooner we can get it finalized and ready for pre-order the better.

White & Black will NEVER go out of style.

And is appropriate for funeral attire.

As much as I like matches on fires, cold on ice, and whispers on screams, I'm afraid I'm going to have to go with white on black as well.

White on black is the bread and butter of Tshirt designs, always has the best chance of looking good and selling.

I would wear one in pinky-purple... but it'd have to be a women's tee, not a unisex. If there's sufficient interest, we'll offer this one in both types.

Since we're looking at this as a long-standing design, I should ask... is there much interest in this particular type of design? I know people wanted something that actually had the Errant Story logo on it, but beyond that what are people looking for in t-shirts? Do you want us to carry more funny stuff, more pretty stuff, the occasional in-joke, or what?

Never go wrong with White on Black and as for designs, in-jokes shouild probably be number one for next t-shirt design...or perhaps something with Jon & Sarine.

I like green-on-black. Nostalgia for old terminals.

White on black is nice because it is visible. Blue looks really cool, but it would be harder to see once the shirt got a bit worn in and then people would be staring at your chest as they walked into you... this could be a great way to meet people, Maybe.

I once had a shirt that had a blue on black logo, but it had a light grey "shadow" behind it, not like a large grey spot, but like the whole thing was outlined in a light grey, it looked really good even after I washed it a bunch of times.

I have a shirt with a gold on black logo and it looked surprizingly good when I got it, but after washing it a few times it is now not so good looking while the white on black one is.

My vote it White on Black, with a possible second for Blue/w Grey outline as a second.

I just got off the phone with the supplier we're planning on using, and apparently I need to have this thing DONE with pre-orders before the 10th if we're going to get the t-shirts in time for Dragon*Con.

Since there's a clear majority of opinion on the design, I'm going to cut short the survey (sorry folks), and just put the shirt up for pre-order today. We can always run pre-orders for other colors if need be.

Incidentally, is anyone here interested in an official "Sashi Mu Academy of Thaumaturgy and Conjuration" school t-shirt? We thought it'd be fun to do one that looks like a normal school or college shirt... until you read it.

My first thought here was "gold on black would kick ass".

However, if the gold is going to look like the images here - that is, yellow - then I'd vote white on black.

On the other hand, if the gold on the T-shirt is an actual shimmery color (as I'm pretty sure I've seen on plenty of old shirts from the 80s), so the shirt looks something like this:

<IMG SRC="http://www.west.net/~forrest/misc/esgold.png">

Then I think that would kick major ass.

yes yes yes. I wrote a project on one. You could invert the colour and have an orange screen with black text. Eye-watering.

One nice thing about white on black is that if you want that sorta streaky gold instead, all it takes is a magic marker. Then when the color fades after a few washings, you can make it orange or green instead.

I've occasionally done that with some white-on-black t-shirts. It's especially fun with the ones that display code. You can color-code it like the syntax coloring of some editors.
