Okay, decisions time. Which would you prefer?

I'd buy it if you put the design small, on the left breast of the t-shirt, like Meji's P.E. shirt. 64%  64%  [ 7 ]
I'd buy it if the design was large on the entire chest of the shirt. 0%  0%  [ 0 ]
I'd buy it only if it was the giant insignia on the front of a sweatshirt. 9%  9%  [ 1 ]
I'd buy it, but I won't pre-order it. 9%  9%  [ 1 ]
I wouldn't buy it at all. Do something else. 18%  18%  [ 2 ]

Ask, and ye <strike>shall</strike> just might receive.

This isn't the finished design (scroll down for the finished design), but we thought we'd throw up a teaser image. This is the school seal, in colors roughly approximating what we want to put on the shirt (which will have a navy blue collar and cuffs):

We can't decide on a design for this one either, though. Should we have the seal and name of the school really big in the middle of the shirt, or should we go more subtle and put them on the left breast of the shirt, more like something Meji or Bani would wear in P.E.?

If we can get this done by tomorrow, we'll put it up for pre-order so that we can have this one by Dragon*Con, too.

If you want the picture on the front I would put it on the left breast. If you want the picture on the back I would make it really big. For some reason that seems logical to me, dunno why. I think it would look good either way and will be ordering stuff from the shop as soon as I figure out if I can get the funds for some items.

Okay, I think we pretty much have the design for the front of the shirt... we might tweak it a little bit still, but here's the concept:

I was at a concert the other week.. they were offering "school girl" shirts. I'd love it on one of those, with it on the left breast.. heck iron on decal!

On the flip side, why are anime schoolboy uniforms always so boring? I mean, I'd have to dress up as a bounty hunter or swordsman or policeman or something if I wanted an impressive costume.

Just for the sake of throwing the idea out there, I was thinking a patch on the sleeve could work. Not necessarily an actual patch, but just putting it on the shoulder would be nicely subtle, but at the same time not hiding it entirely.

However, subtle is just not everyone's style.

Because they're based on the common real-life uniforms, and boys' and girls' school uniforms in Japan are typically quite different in design.

I know... But that doesn't make it any less disappointing.
