Is that Luminosita?

I think so. Tune in next week kids and we'll find out

I remember Anita complaining that their mages aren't even as good as they once were.

"Barrier! NOW!"

Looks like our boy has penetrated through the goons to what passes for the elite troops in Veracia.

Made it all the way to the Big Boss's room, huh?

The armed guards were there just to keep out the riff-raff. The real defense of the place are the spellcasters, like the one that caught Ian and Meji in the library a while back.

Meanwhile, Ian appears to have been struck by the flaming sword of an archangel, assuming said archangel was the size of Godzilla. Which would be very Milton, if true.

Re-iterating my speculation from last thread, it's looking a lot more plausible.

Yes, Ian doesn't appear to be deliberately incinerating the guards, which he could certainly do with a single thought. He is going into the main temple and gaining access to Luminosita would be the logical goal there.

Jeramel? If Ian in fact is still in the drivers seat, the only Ian-type goal I can see getting out of the Temple of Luminosita is a rough estimate where the hell to find Praenubilus Astu. The Patriarch of the Veracian Church would be the guy to squeeze for that.

Well, he didn't get to finish his question, so we're still in the dark about what he wanted to know exactly.

You know, if they had heavy artillery like that, you would think they would have used it outside of the head priest's quarters.

I wonder if Ian had ever thought of maybe using stealth instead of raw power to get to see the head guy. It may have provoked a less intense response.

It looks like an orbital defense platform to me. But probably isn't. It'd be cool though.

Does this one's called 'Sol' or 'Odin'? It's always one of these two...

Two things;
1) Elves
2) Mages

Veracia is a one-trick pony. All they have is Luminosita and they damned near lost it on the Elven Barrier/Shield. What was left didn't do them much good during the warz with Tsuirakushiti. The Veracian Church doesn't want to risk losing Luminosita, which is a very real possibility.

When you outclass an opponent that badly, why bother with stealth? The arm of Luminosita is more flash than bang. All it'll do is piss Ian/Anilis off.

Only that ass-hat survived a planet getting blown the hell up. Not going to put him in the 'dead' column just yet.
