It's ok... I'm sure premature evaporation happens to all cheap ass quasi-deities from time to time.

covered by warranty, I'm sure.

I was hoping for a more comical but harmless and unceremonious 'poof' wich would also make Ian look more badass and utterly humiliate the Veracians, but mini-Hiroshima is good too. At least it is in sync with previous incident at the elven barrier.

Also, it looks like Luminosita-TV is having some problems with signal reception, the picture is all screwy.

I went back in and changed it to 'evaporation' because it just sounds that much worse.

you see, this is why the whole mail-order god business never got off the ground

It is a good thing a certain underling got forgiven, for else he would be in deep shit now.

Why? Not his fault Lumi doesn't have surge protection installed. That's a flaw in the very design, and thus grounds for legal action against the manufacturer.

Still think there's no surge protector in the world that could protect him from Ian's raw, overflowing emo power. Heck, I wanna go sign up for a MySpace account and start cutting myself just looking at him.

Damn, missed it due to excessive inbound BS calls. I was gonna name it Death of a God but that's probably too much cliche.

All that pent up and contained magic energy = one helluva bad-ass explosion when it is finally released. I thought as much. It's also more consistant with what happened when the Elven Barrier/Shield was taken down. I wonder what knock-on effects are going to happen this time. Last time, the Tsuirakuan Cloaking shield was damaged. This is much closer, Damage to the levitation devices? Also, what are the elves going to feel when the giant magical blastwave hits them?

We still don't know why Ian/Anilis is doing this.

Tsuiraku needs to take Veracia over just to make sure that those god-nuts don't do any more dangerous magic. That's twice that Luminosita's messed up Tsuirakuan plans.

It wouldn't surprise me if Tsuirakushitii's levitation devices could stand that explosion even at close range, considering how much work probably went into making those resistant to external and internal attacks.

Cloaking devices are likely much more fragile, and there's probably enough (currently offline) backup devices available to avoid crashing completely. Even if they didn't anticipate a god blowing up before the Pokégod visited the elves, they certainly would have rectified that after.

If your suspicions are correct and this is going to have large-scale impact, my money would be on it severely disrupting the travel platforms. It's already been indicated that they're sensitive to magical fluctuations, and they're likely not to have the built-in redundancies that an levitation/antigrav system might have.

I know I certainly wouldn't be eager to hop in one, even if a mojo-emo bomb hadn't just gone off in the area.

If Ian just dispeled Luminosita, then he has effectively signed Veracia's death-warrant. Anita told them what was going to happen if they had no god to back them up. Now we'll find out if she's prophetic or not.

Blowing windows and walls out... that's a lot of magical overpressure. Probably an equivalent of a tactical nuke in the 1-2 kt range.

My thread title would definitely have been "Ground Zero."

Why I suspect that Tsuiraku might step in, or even Farrel, or both, before we find too many priests being turned into tree ornaments. Remember, this is a repressed culture, just like the repressed magic of Luminosita whose sudden departure removes any legitimacy any priest may have. There will be a huge social backlash and it will target the church of Luminosita and all of its members.

I put my money on your prediction. A large strategic teleportation transport systeme crach is very expectable here.

You know, Ian probably wouldn't be so emo if he would just get laid.
Though with a goddess inside him, things might get weird very quickly.

"AS YOUR NEW DEITY I REQUIRE NO LESS THAN FIVE VIRGINS A DAY. MALES ON MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS, TIT-MOTHS ON THURSDAYS, FEMALES ON WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY, DEITIES AND DICKGIRLS ON WEEKENDS. SO LET IT BE WRITTEN, SO LET IT BE DONE."

"Lord, would you mind not writting so loud, it's not very polite on the internets and..."

"SHUT UP BEFORE I CUT MYSELF AGAIN."

That would be interesting but I don't think Ian is the type who really focuses much on sex.

He's an emotional person so I'll give if he got laid he'd have a romantic interest, but I believe it'd be the passion, love and friendship in the relationship that would keep him more sane.

Anilis in him? She's certainly around in him but I do believe he's more in control of himself then what seems to be the popular perception.

Yes, but it always gets blamed on someone who's fault it isn't.
