I cannot believe there aren't people warring over first post of first posts for new comics on the new board.

It just seems... wrong, somehow.

I could have posted the minute after the comic went up, but had no good ideas for the title...

ARRHHH! I LIVE AGAIN . . .

Ian continues with his attempt to return his overdue library book. Meanwhile . . .

"we already POPPED the only thing we might have had, that could stop him for naught!"

Thanks for that detailed assessment, Mr. Spock.

That's because the Forum link still points to Kyhms.

BTW title should have been ... wrote:

For my two cents.

"Inconceivable!"

Why do I keep thinking of the Princess Bride whenever I hear the Head Preist speak?

So if Ian is here, who was that in the last comic?

New Forum Comment: "I for one, welcome our new overlords..."

What do you mean? It's the same place. Ian just melted through two floors of basement.

With the sorts of magic these wankers can chuck around, during the mage/priest wars, even a Veracian Priest isn't silly enough to build a safe-room above ground level.

Nah, they're in a safe-room, under what used to be Luminocita's temple and Ian just melted his way down to ask if they had a bowl of sugar he could borrow for this cake he's baking

I hear that Imperial Death March song from Star Wars here for some reason.

The amusing part is that the guard lifts his sword, as if he still believes theres even the slightest hope of it improving his chance at living through this.

Normal people don't give up so easy, even if their real probability is nil. If nothing else, it makes him feel marginaly better.

Welcome back, Boss!

Are you going to join the new forums? Seeing as how you're already elected and all, I'd love to just appoint you moderator of the ES board over there...

Heavens, people adrift at sea beg for mercy from sharks and wounded men on the battlefield cry out for their mother, however hopelessly distant she might be. Possibly we could just appreciate this insight into human fear and suffering and cut the doomed man a little slack.

Be cool, though, if he were a monkish spy. Might give Ian a little more fight than his previous opponents.

Well, I still need to know what a moderator does and how much time is involved.

Move threads, split discussions that have gone away from the original topic, issue warnings to those behaving badly, generally keep the day-to-day fun of a forum going by making sure things stay where they should be and people play by the rules.

If anything was to seriously get out of hand, you'd go to the admins for help.

Also, I'm not sure what Hil's stance on it is, but sometimes moderators are allowed to edit posts that break the rules. Or just delete them.

If these poor bastards do anything as their next move other than present their asses to their new sodomaster for inspection, or commit suicide in some fashion that involves the destruction of most of a person's brain, they are royal fucktards of the highest degree. When the sum total of all your civilization's power can be swept aside with a single word by an outside force, any other action is lunacy. And put down the goddamn sword, dickshit.
...
That is all.

No. Defiance is the answer when the worst somebody can do is to kill you... and you are pretty damn sure that this is their intent.

It is not the answer when your adversary is quite capable of keeping you in a torturous state between life and death for the next billion years. And, fuck. There is a chance you might be just forgotten after your new god asks his little question, being a mere mortal of little importance.
