Ayn Rand sucks ass and must die.

Capitalist or no, 'greed is good' is not the basis for such a comprehensive philosophy. Besides that, I prefer my capitalism mixed with socialism anyway.

Ayn Rand still sucks though. Always has, always will. Muad is also an idiot, apparently. If I wanted to be disagreeable, I'd be a hell of a lot more annoying than I am now.

Definitely. I've felt KC's "annoying" and it's nowhere near what he does here.

Leto Atreides (you know which one) was a freaky bastard in those books.

As far as I'm concerned, Ayn Rand was a pretty good (although very unsubtle) writer, an okay political theorist, and a crappy philosopher. Plus she has probably the most annoying group of fans on the planet, with the exception of shoujo anime freaks.

If you think "greed is good" is the foundation of her philosophy, then you have no idea what objectavism is.

I hate terms like that, "her philosophy". As if it were "her style" or "her opinion". This is not an attempt at some new way of thinking, a philosophy is an attempt to explain reality as it is, just as number theory and physics attempt to do so.

I predict plot driven story with witty banter between characters. Less or no fourth wall jokes. I think its going to be damn good and rereadable instead of gag driven cheap laughs.

Sorry, but Rand's philosophy has never been fleshed out and remains a half-baked pseudo-philosophy. She had some good ideas, and they've been adopted into modern Conservativism.

Isaac Newton once remarked that, "if I've seen farther than other men, it's because I stood on the shoulders of giants." Objectivism tries to throw out pretty much everything that came before it and start fresh. It winds up as a collection of aphorisms and the most irritating style of debate known to mankind.

On topic... One thing I liked about EN is that there was a firm storyline that lay under the gags. I'm no writer, but I do appreciate the fact that Poe has some underlying plan, even if it's just some warped shit bubbling up from his subconcious.

OTOH, I'd rather he didn't break the fourth wall as he did in EN. Even if it's part of the humor, it's still corny.
