if anyone here uses irc, theres a channel on dal.net devoted(sort of, thats why i originally made it) to poes comics, its called #exploitationnow since it was the only comic that was up when i made the chan, i thought it'd be cool if some other fans of EN and the new ES joined us there. |

Hey, guess what? There's also another IRC channel, #en, that was created specifically for that BY THE CREATOR OF EN AND MODERATOR OF THESE FORUMS. So, we now have TWO IRC channels for EN and ES. w00t, now if only I had cable so Trillian wouldn't take two-and-half hours to download, and if only the java IRC setup would connect . . . I'm impressed. This guy's had an EN IRC channel out there for apparently a while, and we only just discovered it? He's pretty darn good at keeping it hidden . . . (Sorry if I come off as gruff. We've had a lot of n00bs recently, and I think I'm beginning to get more than a little frazzled with dealing with so many of them. It's not your fault, really . . . You just happened to catch me at a bad time, I guess.) |

Well... Exploitation Now's already over. A #Errantstory might be nice though. Too lazy to open IRC to check it out. And it's really rather redundant - these boards take care of pretty much everything EN and ES related, even more. And you're a n00b - doubtful you've lurked long enough to know how things work here, especially considering your first post was a forum topic. I don't think you're going to get a hole ripped in you by the veterans here because you were actually trying to be helpful, but it wouldn't be such a bad idea to wander around here, kind of check out how things work - odds are you're going to get initatied before long though. |

hmm, kitsune i can understand the gruffness, but to be honest, i've been a n00b in many places less understanding than here, and i've done my share of n00b-bashing before. i never actually knew about the "other" en chan, never really thought to check, though a chan for es would be a fairly not bad idea, guess i'll do that, i've got nothing better to do with my time. |

Maybe we need a sticky topic somewhere with information about the IRC channel etc. so stuff like this doesn't happen. |

::Nods in understanding:: Eh, it's okay, I'm better now. Nice avie, BTW. It's neat. Despite your first post, you seem pretty normal; if you do get initiated, it won't be because you're being a moron. Somebody will just see you as an interesting person to welcome into the fold, and use the initiation as a nice way of saying "Hello, welcome to the forums, we hope you enjoy your stay." Nothin' bad, really. As long as you don't make stupid posts or postwhore (IE post thirtyseven times a day), you may even be ignored completely by any potential initiators-of-Adam_Weishaupt. Yeah, I'm definitely calmed down now. A good ol' debate with KC does wonders for your mood. |
