I now see mondays update on my screen. Again there is no dialoge, and there is an old dude whitlin' a dog. What is the signifigance of this.

P.S. I am the first one to see it! Ha!

Well, maybe first to comment on it or whatnot, but first to see is debatable. *nods*

But I think what we have here is a slow beginning... one that when the action hits, people will be glad it happened. *nods and sits back to wait for more*

By the way... just curious, but does anyone know if there si still a way to get ahold of the hardcover dead tree EN?

All I have to say is that the whittling guy needs to take a class.I can't tell if it's a dog, horse, cat or a demonic merging of the three.

I get the feeling that if this guy is important, then when he finishes the carving, it will be seen later, and looking alot better. *nods*

Alot of carvings look rather blocky when they first start out... *shrugs*

Although it does kind of differ, based on skill and experience.

I think he's a mark. One that won't be around for much longer.

Who wants to play guess the dialoge?

Frame 1: Nothing
Frame 2: [girl]I have come for my carving.
Frame 3: [old guy]Its nearly finished, what do you need it for anyway.
Frame 4: [Girl] You ever heard of a guy called Ghastly?

Maybe, Maybe not.

Actor.

I think it's very interesting without dialogue . . . makes you wonder what she said that made him cut the carving's head off . . . and keeps you in suspense till the next comic to find out . . .

All very good things to find in a comic, and it's why I don't see what's to complain about in ES.

I really like this one. I haven't been bothered by the pacing. But the first bunch made me wonder if it would be a totally serious comic. Seeing the little head pop off was a perfect way to evolve the feel of the comic. I even think it was at the perfect time.

(I finally registered.)

It kinda looks like he also cut off a finger... that would explain the AAHHHHH!!!
All I can say is that it's not a good idea to sneak up on someone while they're useing something sharp.
Also if he did cut off his finger, that would add a subtle humour to the comic.I think it's funny. But that might just be me.

A guy with a whittling knife of some kind. Cutting his finger off.

Maybe it's just me, but it just doesn't scream "subtle" to me...

This is a VERY far fetched theory, but perhaps he is somehow related to her, mabye her husbands son's son's son's son's son's son's... you get the picture
