I'm going to have to go with Plansecape: Torment as my first choice for CRPg's- but then, I like to read :) Oh, and Treespeaker-

Similarly, even if your character is a cold-blooded killer of an adventurer (which they all seem to be), you can't just wack Bobo and take all the other treasure he's got instead of the red orb.
Torment is actually pretty good about this; I haven't played a fully evil character in it yet, but there were serveral times when ye olde clerk/local kingpin would try to me send off on some goose-chase before he would give me an item, and I'd say "fuck it" kill the guy, grab the item, and fight my way through any of his friends who happened to be in the neighborhood. I'm pretty sure I missed some large chunk of the game when I wiped out the entire underground kindom of the Dead Nations... (You won't let me see the Silent King, huh? *Magic Missile*, sucka!!)
As far as Consoles RPG's, I'm gonna have to go with FF6 (for obvious reasons), although Earthbound is my favorite "they-must-been-on-drugs-cause-theres-no-*way*-they-thought-this-shit-up-sober" game, ever.
