Ohh.... Lunar. Lunar 1 on the PSX was some of the best twenty hours I've ever experienced in an RPG game - too bad it was so goddamn short. Lunar 2 had better gameplay but the story suffered a bit because they didn't change it that much from the sega CD version. Both great games - I got all the bromides.

Anyone heard of The War of Genesis III? I've been trying to get my hands on a copy for so long. (Released in Korea and Japan only I think) I mean I would buy the Japanese version and translate it if only I could find it...

My all-time faves would be FF6 and Chrono Trigger (I'm a SquareSoft whore).

You know, I realized one thing. Those two games had good soundtracks... and I think it really helped them get up there on the list. Rarely do video games stick in your head, but some are just too catchy to let go... FF6 and CT are two of those games. I remember humming the Frog song and Magus song while walking down the street when I first played CT...

I thoroughly enjoyed FF6, FF5, and Earthbound.

Also,
Since Nintendo is a dick about it and I just dont know where to get any decent Sega old-skool RPGs, does anyone know where to get a hook up? Finals are going to leave me longing for my drug of choice. Well, 2nd drug of choice.

I'm going to have to go with Plansecape: Torment as my first choice for CRPg's- but then, I like to read :) Oh, and Treespeaker-
Quote:
Similarly, even if your character is a cold-blooded killer of an adventurer (which they all seem to be), you can't just wack Bobo and take all the other treasure he's got instead of the red orb.

Torment is actually pretty good about this; I haven't played a fully evil character in it yet, but there were serveral times when ye olde clerk/local kingpin would try to me send off on some goose-chase before he would give me an item, and I'd say "fuck it" kill the guy, grab the item, and fight my way through any of his friends who happened to be in the neighborhood. I'm pretty sure I missed some large chunk of the game when I wiped out the entire underground kindom of the Dead Nations... (You won't let me see the Silent King, huh? *Magic Missile*, sucka!!)

As far as Consoles RPG's, I'm gonna have to go with FF6 (for obvious reasons), although Earthbound is my favorite "they-must-been-on-drugs-cause-theres-no-*way*-they-thought-this-shit-up-sober" game, ever.
