yipee!

and i'm sure it can be drawn out for at least couple of strips, no need to cut that action too short, i hope.

Everyone is watching her when she walks in. Prolly because she's a stranger to the town, or that she has elven features. Hence, I'm still stuck on my opinion that Darren is one dead dickhead.

I agree. I'm fairly positive he's about die. Unless Sarine gets off on scaring the crap out of people before they die and is the crazy murderer (which doesn't line up with the "I'm sorry..."), he's either the murderer or committed some other crime. I also believe that Sarine's willingness to draw her weapons without hesitation implies that she's most likely capable of killing everyone in the bar on the spot without undue contortion - it'd be nuts to whip out a pair of swords in the middle of a crowded bar, with no guarantee that nobody else in the bar has a weapon of some sort, unless you were either really dumb or really capable. I suspect the latter.

or unless you were sure no one else would interfere (cf: the Catina scene in Star Wars) Thing is, I don't think this town is rough enough for that to hold true.

I think this particular fight (well, execution might be a better term) will be lightning fast, and done in one strip. The better to impress upon you, the reader, Sarine's skill.

oh yeah, and I think the "<I'm sorry>" was either to her long dead husband (I'm sure he wanted better than for his wife to become a bounty hunter and go around killing humans and making inter-species relationships between humans and elves even more difficult) or to some other intimate that we haven't met yet. I'm dead certain she wasn't apologizing to the sack of organ meat sitting in front of her.

Well, I reckon she's leap up on the table, and slit his throat. And I figure Poe will do it in colour, too.

*Twilight Zone music cranks up rustily in the background*

Ummm...yea! I saw it in a tealeaf. :D

The n00b once more
And now, for the alternative viewpoint: maybe Sarine is the murderer? Look at one of the first comics, where she thinks to herself "I used to believe"- perhaps SHE is the insane one, and is using the other (elf? Half-elf?) as her cover. She could then easily say "oh, it was the old crazy elf."
Athough that does ruin it for the rape thing. Oh well, it's a nice potential story.
