I like the camera angle and the 'pose' best. kinda gives it a batman feel to it or something (well batman is the first thing to pop into my head back... look at that cape)

I think that this is the first time that Poe has posted something with shaded coloring. Everything before now had a "filled by paintcan" look to it.

I think he might actually be more of a postwhore than I am... really, that was totally irrelevant. It wasn't to lure us back in, it was to highlight a very important (probably) event.

i think the color is very effective, and beautifully done. her hair and the blood look especially nice in contrast with the grey of her armor and cape and the muted colors of the rest of the scene. i love the candle and the shadows to. todays comic was just amazing.

I like the colour, I really do, but I desaturated the image for the hell of it. Black and White is a great medium, why not use it? So here is the pic:

I hate to say this but i actually think the BnW version is betetr than the original colour one. I dont know, it just seems to have more dramatic affect, like when you have a colour film/comic/catroon with a few black and white scenes for importent or symbolic events.

I think that's what this is. Just reverse because the rest of the comic is in BnW. It makes the colored strip more meaningful. Personally, I like the way he worked it out. If he'd left it BnW it wouldn't be so dramatic because it would be the same as the rest of the strips. Then again he can't go coloring every single one. So, I think this way works out best.

Should be colored, it helps to literate the viscocity of the blood being spilled, and it looks more fluid than B&W.
