At least it's better than video game physics. Go from 5000kph to 0kph in half a second without any stopping device at all!

Well, that particular one was Earth and Beyond. There are only repositioning thrusters, not stopping. But I was talking in general- video game physics are often VERY unrealistic. The dodging in UT2003, for example.

ohmygod! You ppl never heard about I-war? Independence war. Probably only (and i-war2) space simulator with good newton basis like those cool things you seen in babylon5 (turning 180decree and continue flying backwards ect.).
Its good, its action packed and its flying model rocks! Its one good games like battlezone that people dont play... :sad:

Terminus had ultra-realistic settings, but the cool part was that you could turn them to simplistic, and a wide range between the two. Hard to kill stuff, though. Rockets, for example, are dumbfire, so you had to guess REALLY well.

If you're a Mac type, Ambrosia Software's Escape Velocity games could do that, too.

I still have Terminus installed =) not sure if I have the discs though. Earth and Beyond is practically a totally ripoff of Terminus. Gates in Terminus = squares, gates in E&B = cubes. Three factions in Terminus- Mars, Earth, Callisto Research (Jupiter), and Pirates (various areas). Main factions in E&B- Progen (Mars), Terrans (Earth), Jenquai (Jupiter), and Pirates (various areas). The list goes on and on...

Escape Velocity! Oh god, I loved that game. I just wish I could find a way to run it on my PC, since I don't use a Mac anymore.
