Well now...

So this is the guy that started a mage war, eh? Not necessarily the war we had previously heard of, and all the purges and all... but it could be. *nods*

And all over the resurrection of his wife. *nods* Now, I am curious as to this back story...

How did she die? What was their life like together? Will we learn any of this in the course of Errant Story?

Either way, this is truly shaping up to be an intriguing story. *nods*

I wish I could travel to the future to read it after it's finished...

I don't think it's as much of a big deal as you are making it out to be, (but of course, i may be wrong). Personally, i think that the Mage & Priest Wars, and the context in which the professor mentions that to Meji, is actually just forshadowing future events... namely, the Errant/Elven Wars.

(that last comic also seems to help support the theory i presented in "Meji = The Original Errant?") Boo-yah!!

the mage vs. priest thing is probably just a small subplot to be used later on, Like Meji meeting a priest character that hates her on the grounds she's a mage

Finally, something where a necromancer is *not* portrayed as totally evil!

I agree, normally everyoen think that "oh a necromancer, her brings the dead back to life, he must be evil" well not ALL of use are. If you've played Diablo 2 then you'd know that a necromancer just wishes to be able to control life after death.

Actually, if I read my Diablo II manual right, the necromancers in Diablo II are NOT as such interested in restoring dead relatives to life and such, but are ibnvolved in making sure the cycle of life and death continues, almost to a religous extent. In a way, they have the same goal as druids, only they approach things from the side of death instead of life. (manipulating the normal course of life for druids (causing animals to appear and such) and manipulating the course of death for necromancers 9causing dead souls to return and such) Of course, since all people alive are LIVING, and living usually don't like stuff to do with death, the necromancer is seen as evil.

Not that anyone gives a damn of course, since RP-ing in Diablo is only slightly easier then RP-ing Tetris but....

You can RP in Diablo?
All I ever did was pound at my mouse key until my right hand hurt more than that time I played Need For Speed Hot Persuit 2 for 45 minutes straight(slow cars + 9 laps *2 rounds = agony).

Although I have to agree on the Necromacer description, death is a vital part of life and their job is to make sure that the flow is maintained.

Actor.

If we had too many pansy druids and clerics bringing back the dead, we'd all just suffer from overcrowding and lack of vital supplies. Death also cleanses the weak. It's quite good for a species' gene pool.
