Her what?

Her fazha! Zha fazha und zha muzha had ze bebie. Now zhe bebie izh zhe Meji.

o.o Shut up.

---

Heh heh... so we have a little "aw, lookie what her poor life is like" bit... A big reminiscent of some other backstories I know... Heh heh heh... Anyway...

I wonder what the incantation for the contraceptive spell is...? *laughs*

And also... Elves are protrayed so far as all "hoity toighty" or whatnot... Seems something has gone awry in this world. ^__~ (Duh...)

-BiShouNenKaMi
And is it just me, or is the once "panty-shot" Meji now wearing shorts?
EDIT: Wait, I think I could be wrong... let's hold on that train of thought...

From the look on Meji's face (or at least the section you can see) in the last panel, I have a sneaking suspicion we're about to see projectile Ellis again...

According to the AD&D Guide to Unlawful Carnal Knowlege
Quote:
Contraception (Abjuration)

Level: Cantrip
Range: Touch
Components: S, M
Duration: Instantaneous
Casting Time: 1
Area of Effect: 1 person
Save: None

An alternative to the Sterility Cantrip for GMs that don't like 100% protection. This cantrip significantly decreases the probability of fertilization following coitus. This cantrip is cast after sexual activity. In some cases this may not be Lawful, and in some may not be considered Good. The cantrip is also not entirely perfect, offering only 95% certainty, according to the following table:

Roll % Result
01-95 no fertilization
96 no fertilization anyway
97 one zygote
98 two zygotes (possibly identical)
99 1d6 zygotes
00 both partners pregnant (magic gone awry)

The material component for this spell is a red cape or a red riding hood.

So it's somatic and material... *shrugs*

I was hoping there would be a verbal component, so that, as I stated, I could find out what <b>the incantation</b> would be... Meh.

Also... it appears to be a spell you do not want to fuck up...

-BiShouNenKaMi
Well, proof she is not Sarine's daughter has been set. With an elven father, her mother has to be human for her to be a half-elf. Hence the elven Sarine is no longer a candidate.

Correct, Ellis is seriously going to get fucked-up next strip.

I like the background being built up for Meji... but I'm a little confused - from the
<b><a href="http://errantstory.com/d/20021225.html">strip talking about the Mage/Priest Wars</a></b>, I got the impression that 'Tsuiraku'
was a country, not a person.

I got that impression, too... as well as from this strip, in a sense... but I just couldn't resist the whole "fazha" line and all that... XD

Ah well... Time will tell, ne? ^_~

Actually, I'd say that Tsuiraku is the name of the City.

Just want to point out that we also learned Meji's age: 16-17 years old. Yes, the comic says "17 years ago" but that includes pregnancy, which might be affected due to her being a half-elf. And even with a normal pregnancy, unless it was "17 years and nine months", she'd still be only 16.

Heh, maybe she should change her project to the development (and testing .

Good god, that must be SOME discussion then.

"Dad...I have had a little accident. I'm pregnant"

"WHAT? It's that punk next door is n't it? Well he'd better take responsibility."

"Well yes dad, he will...problem is, I'll have to do that too?"

"Huh?"

"Well...the accident was..."

Hilarity ensues.

Sarine: "Tsuiraku never told you who your father was..."

Meji: "He told me <i>you</i> murdered him!"

Sarine: "No, Meji... <b>I AM YOUR FATHER!</b>"

Meji: "Nooooo... But... That's impossible...!"

Now that's just sick and wrong, or at least something that Ghastly would do.

Look at the strip giving the info about the <b><a href="http://errantstory.com/d/20021225.html">Mage/Priest Wars</a></b> in the 2nd panel.
I say it looks like Tsuiraku and Veracia are both countries.
It's either that or cities.

Umm, hello? Who says it can't be both? You could have a city, country, AND a person all named the same thing- The city is most likely the capital, the country is named after the person.

Or Tsuiraku could be the title of a position. Like Pope, President, Ambassador, etc...

Personally, I'm betting on it being a place.

I thought that they were both religions/codes of magic. Although it could be a case of alligances of nations based around a common belief(much like medieval Western and Eastern Europe).

Actor.
