The full quote is "Conversations tend to be so much more civil when there's a chance the other person might snap and kill you."

And you have to admit, he does have a point...

See, that's why I try to make the idiots at my school think I'm going to go on a killing spree.

I never used to try, but people thought I would anyway.. *shrug* So many horribly freakish memories... ^_^ At least it's different now.

I would walk around in all black with my trenchcoat on a great deal of the time. People that knew me could tell you that I was harmless, but it kept the jocks off of my ass. Kindof funny that clothing could scare someone so much.

Speaking of school and violence and death, how have my fellow forumer's finals been going so far?

So far I have had my Honors Chem final and I feel pretty good about how it went. I'm hoping for a C!

I just started my finals.

My suspected grades are most likely going to be:

Metal's 2: A
Drivers ED: A
AP EURO: A
Honors Chem: D (C if there truly is a god)
Honors English Most likely an A, mabye B
Alegerbra 2 D, mabye F

I have been hating Math ever since 8th grade, probably because it actually started getting hard in Algerbra 1

Actually I took my finals a while ago, it's just taking a while to get all of my grades back. It's spring semester for me, too.

Quite interesting, as you can see my grades aren't exactly steller, I'm considering Second Seimester my rebirth you could say.

Being a Norwegian, I'm in Norwegian school... Don't know what the level I'm at would be called, I think it's around college level. Let's just say, I've been through the 9 mandatory years, and it's my third and last year at the next level. Next step for me will probably be university.

Anyways, I'll probably be getting my grades for the past half year tomorrow. What they will be, well, I think I know roughly what they'll be, but I won't know until tomorrow.

You only had 9 years of mandatory school! I had 12 years. I'm onto my second year of college.

Would someone mind summing up the US educational system, I don't really know much beyond fragments. Does everyone go to school for at least 12 years?

NZ school system has 13 years, with the last year not being compulsory. Though it is neccessary if you want even a vaguely decent chance of getting into university. We also start school a year younger than most, at 5 or 6, so we still graduate at 18 or the most part.

We have 12 grades, one per year. start aound 5 or 6 and graduate around 17.
also have a year of "kindergarten" first.
EVERY student goes the entire 12 unless they drop out completely, rare but still happens.
Also almost every student is expected to take college entrance exams, even if they don't have a chance of going. The politicians love that because they can always claim that the party in power aren't doing enough for education despite the fact that at least half of the population simply aren't capable of going...
