Not sure how common it is to make 'Hey im new here post' on this forum, I know it irks some people. Ah well, hi

Ive been reading Poe's work since EN, not sure how far into it. I think I found my way thier through Megatokyo, which I no longer read. Not sure why just kind of stopped reading it.

Anyway im 18, I live in western new york, and i run a fansite for PlanetSide, a new MMO(FPS) coming out soon.

As far as drawing I mostly just do sketches of different clothing designs, im not one for drawing people.

Hope I don't get flamed for this :/

*Promptly stabs n00b in head*

Hmm, if by "finding EN through MT" you mean through poe's guest strip on there, than you and I are kindred spirits. At least in the finding EN department.

As I know very well, making a "Hi here I am" post is a one way ticket to initiation city. Take it from me, I had a deamon summoned out of my back.

Honestly it would be expected we would have some sort of reputation by now that would scare the shit out of people and inspire caution.

Well with the way the forums keep expanding, I predict that we will be forever etched in the memory of the Internet. Either that or we'll have consumed everything in sight.

Wow, two back to back initiations. This should be fun

*Sits on a patch of emerald green grass, and pulls out a Legendary Gold Cookie Star and begins to nibble it, making sure to eat slowly enough so that it lasts through the initiation*

*sigh* Here I am, trying to think of an appropriate initiation for this n00b, when I'm supposed to be working on my Bio project; I'm supposed to bring in labeled external and internal diagrams of a given organism... waitasec, I gots an idea... *evil grin*

TreizeAtreides (hereafter abbreviated as TA): Ummm... does this 'idea' involve causing me massive amounts of pain?

Maaaaaaayyyyyyybeeeeee.... *grabs TA and tosses him into a human-sized chute mounted on top of some wierd-looking printer*

*waits as the printer does its thing*

Ah, here we go! *takes the two papers out of the paper tray, and briefly holds them up to the camera. One is a near-perfect picture of TA, the other a sillhouette (sp?) of him, with the organs highlighted as appropriate*

So, how do you like your temporary home?

TA: Hey, let me outta here! Come on!

Great to hear. Anyways... *grabs a pencil and starts labeling TA's various parts*

TA: Ow! OW! OWWWW!! Jeez, why do you have to use such a sharp pencil?

Look, you're getting off easy because I'm such an uncreative bas... eh, child born out of wedlock.

*goes back to labeling his diagrams* There we go, all finished. Now to go reward myself with some c0ff33 *goes off to the kitchen, leaving the papers to float gently to the floor*

*a small dog walks up and starts sniffing the papers curiously... and hungrily*

TA: Ummm... nice doggie... niiiiiiiice doggie...

*TA's coaxings do nothing to discourage the dog, who begins munching on the papers, amid TA's muffled screams*

*Doromond comes back from the kitchen, c0ff33 in hand* Punk! BAD DOG! No eating the n00bs, and NO EATING MY HOMEWORK! Now come on!

*fast forward to a few hours later, just cause I'm so lazy. TA is standing where he was before, miraculously reformed and (physically, anyway) unharmed*

Well, there you go, you've just been initiated. Welcome to the boards. You might want to put "Initiated by Doromond" in your signature so that the regulars know you've already been initiated... because sometimes, the misunderstandings can be quite... shall we say, unpleasant.

Anyways, I still got homework to do, so laters!

(Any good? Probably not...)

Attention all n00bies! THERE IS ALREADY A THREAD FOR INTRODUCING YOURSELF. Making a new one will not recieve you a warm reception.

...Not that you're guaranteed a warm reception by posting there either... Chances are just slightly better of it.

I found the initiation lacked a little something in the pain and sexual violation part... But that's just me. Very creative, though.

Warm reception in the wet, trickling-down-your-leg sense, I'm sure.
