I'd like to point out the fact that no matter what the dictionary tells us, it's an English dictionary and ninja is a bastardized Japanese word...the plural form is most likely not ninjas.

People are referring to Sara's FPL sheet (and possibly other sources, like the 'feh' page, I don't know). According to the FPL sheet, Sara is a member of an order of assassin monks. And she uses a staff with some sort of magic-power-crystal-blades at the ends. Just look at her in the art section of the ES site.

Could somebody please tell me where these the FPL sheets or the "feh" page is? And is that why there's so much talk about possible time travelling and all these stories taking place at different times?

And I'd also like to add that, unless my Japanese has gotten really pathetic, there's no real way to pluralize anything. Like, if you were talking about multiple dogs, you'd just say "inu". And a child is a "kodomo" no matter how many. I think. I know you can add "-tachi" (Watashitachi) to make a few things plural. But I don't think you'd say "ninja tachi" which just sounds REALLY wierd.

This doesn't matter, as you're expressing the plural in English and the somewhat regular rules apply. You're not speaking in Japanese, so there isn't any reason for you to express the plural the Japanese way.

Can we talk about something more exciting than grammar, please?

I don't see the "ninja" angle everyone is harking about.

more likely to agree with Dominic on this one. That "crystal" on the end of the staff could just be a tear in the windmill's cloth. Member, he's on top of the windmill. Say, why is the staff covered by wrappings? Carved/made that way?

Bout the watch,(guessing here) looks like there might be 14 or 16 marks and i'd guess that means 28 or 32 hour days (if Poe is even using hours as a time measurement). Could also be that Poe didn't want to spend to much time being exact about the markings on the watch.

He looks like an priest, and in animes I've seen, they know magic. Though he could be just an monk, that knows some moves. Probably gaining some magical power at sometime, in the past, or even in the future.

Though I can't wait till he speaks, or at least in a battle.

For now, I am going to hold fast and tur eot my hope that he is from the same order as Sara. As I said intially and it was pointed out, the staff he bears is of the same configuration as Sara's, and the places where the crystals should be are hidden from view. As to his clothing, about all I can tell is that its of the same baggy and black nature as Sara's, and a mage just lounging around on a windmill seems off to me. A Mage would either stand and be menacing, or would be somewhere less hazardous, just my thoughts, tho.

Now, if you actually took the time to look throught the older topics, you'd know this stuff.

First 'alternate time' theory:
http://forums.kyhm.com/viewtopic.php?topic=1865&forum=10&21
Thought up by Ptrix, who's either dead, gone, or lurking.

Some funny speculation:
http://forums.kyhm.com/viewtopic.php?topic=1713&forum=10&19
Meji's FPL page:
http://www.electricferret.com/fpl/solovill/feb3-761582002.htm
Sara's FPL page:
http://www.electricferret.com/fpl/solovill/nov16-437842002.htm

Sadly, I missed the 'feh' page, which I was told was taken down. It was the teaser in the EN forums for Errant Story. Also, if you read the FPL pages, don't talk about what happens on them here, as certain people prefer not to know. Don't take it as gospel, either, as it looks like Poe was just roughing out the characters.

He just looks more like a wandering mage, combat mage, or something along those lines. He's got a staff. No real reason to carry a staff unless you have magic at your disposal.

And other than that, wandering types tend to carry a staff with them to lean on or assist in climbs up steep surfaces. It's apparent he's a traveler, despite whatever else he may be.

Then again, that's just speculation on my part. I don't know anything for certain, I'm just making a half-educated guess.

There's a wee little edit button, y'know...

Not to be a jerk or anything, just pointing it out. The lettering is rather small, and it's not entirely obvious.

And you've all read the hate mail at the official ninja site, haven't you?Plus the CNN articles. It's funny shit.

I knew that counter, but didn't post it because the RealUltimatePower.com is weak against Ninja Burger in terms of coolness.

BTW, semper ignavus needs to shut the fuck up.

Knew about the edit button. Pushed back halfway through the submit to add the Thank you. Thus, I got two posts.

BTW, it did occur to me that a newbie could edit one post a hundred times and then have a hundred posts!
