... or a myriad of various other more creative or funny titles. Blargle.

Did this just come out? I was surprised it wasn't here before.

Anyway!

... Meji looks shocked or afrightened there...

Yeah. I need more content in my posts. ;_;

Well it makes sense that Meji's pissed. She wanted Jon all to herself without the hooker.

I think that was Ellis speaking, since Meji would be too depressed to be indignant.

You can never be to depressed to be indignant.

Ellis doesn't strike me as the type to call him "Jon". I think that was Meji speaking. And Ellis wouldn't call it "gross" either. If it was Ellis I think we'd be seeing a lot more sarcasm and comments about the last time Jon bought a hooker.

For that matter, when one is in a strong depressive funk, one tends to be antisocial and tends to get really hacked off at someone else having a good time, which would be another reason for her to be upset about Jon bringing in a hooker at once.

Expect explosions fairly shortly. I suspect that after losing Ian like that Meji has a major attitude problem about Elves right now.

That last panel (which, by the way, is one of the best I've seen) is a cornered-animal face if I've ever seen one.

With luck, she'll remember that she's on the second floor of a wooden structure before going ballistic. It looks like her options are fight or flight (from her POV) and Sarine will be lucky to talk her into accepting a third option: Reams of exposition. :)

I think Meji's trying to act more cheerful because she's sick of Jon's pity. If she acts happier he'll leave her alone.

I think Meji's very scarred from her last experience with elves. Prior to this encounter she had a naive idea of them- that they'd be nice. Then Ian told her they'd kill her in a heartbeat, and the attack served to prove that in her mind. She was left utterly helpless.

Meji's got like elfphobia now. To the max.

I think Meji's going to be too terrified to fight.
Her conception that elves would be nice was destroyed abruptly when she was mind-raped and reduced to a vegitable for God knows how long. She knows elves want to kill her, now; she must have suspicians that they can overpower her magicaly, now; and she must have wondered at least a little about what they would have done to her once they had captured her.

Now, Jon -the only friend she has left in the world- (even though she might not be willing to admit that) comes in with an elf! Has he been bought off? Has he been working for them all along? Is he hypnotized and under their control? Is the building surrounded? Can she run or will she be caught? Can she fight or will she be overpowered like a bug?
Even though she could probably answer all those questions logicaly and inteligently, given enough time to do so, the fact is she's seventeen! She's a school girl from a pampered city who's got a boatload of issues and personal problems, she hasn't even grown up yet, and she's certainly not some kind of soldier! She has no training to influence her reactions, and she really isn't all that couragious. With all those questions and fears running through her at once, I think that she's just going to curl up into a quivering, terrifed, attractive little ball -probably surrounded by the most powerful warding spell she can cast.

I therefor think we're about to see the compassionate side of Sarine. :)

Anyone else notice Jon has his eyes closed all the time.

Maybe 'twas just because she MIGHT be nakid, doing things we sure as hell want fanart depicting.

Or he's just simply blinking at the exact time poe draws the strip... hmm..

Could be he's just got that Clint Eastwood squint thing going and you can't be sure if his eyes are open or closed.

Or, given that he's really a big softie, his eyes are downcast because he knows full well what Meji's reaction is going to be when he walks in with an armed, hooded, badass elf.

The fact that Sarine (very politely) gave him no choice in the matter doesn't help at all, I'm sure.

His eyes, upon entering, were not initially closed. I'm fairly confident that the said eye closing is the end result of an eyeroll and or shaking of the head accompanying a sigh in response to the possibility of nakedness, extended for effect with respect to why she would be naked--A natural body language response to the absurdity and general consternation of the suggestion potential situation.

He wasn't lazy, its obvious that he spent at least 7 hours making sure that each John in both frames were completely identical, down to the smallest line and crease.
I am in awe of you Poe.

Actor.

Can one get a second initiation? If possible, I'm asking for one. Memories from the last one is fading to quickly.

I suppose I_M should have the right of first claim if this is to go ahead.

Oh! BUTTSEX

They NEVER gave me an initiation. And I did everything right! I broke every rule, I insulted everyone, and did all the things you need to do for an initiation. Personally I think its because the CoI is a bunch of pussies and were scared of me.

Nah -smacks idiot- it's because you don't hand out initiations to people who want one and act ´tardy to get it. (You have to really BE a tard, BE BE a tard)

And as far as I know nva9 , you can't initiate an initiated initiat. It goes against the purpose of initiation, just as initiating and.. initi.. nator..

initiantio...inanno.. innnnnnn

-gurrrrrgle-
