Maybe I wasn't clear. I didn't mean that I intended to ignore your preference, merely that my competitive instincts don't extend to competing for the prize on this. I'll be happy to catch the missed typos and PM the originator of the day's list. Does that clarify it?

As I have mentioned earlier in this thread, wouldn't a wiki page be the appropriate place to collect the typo information? Competition entries go here into this thread and will be copied to the wiki, latecomers enter the missing typos directly in the wiki. The result for Impy would be an easily readable list on a single Wiki page, and should be much easier to handle than skipping through this thread post for post. And nobody has to edit competition entries.

Sounds great, Dubioso... the wiki is a community-edited thing, so feel free to go forth and create a wiki page!

I've created a page and seeded it with the competition entries from the first page of this thread. Minus a few suggestions that I didn't consider typos.

Impy, could you review the format? Maybe you prefer "should be" instead of "->", or you'd like the word numbering for bubbles changed to actual numbers (fourth vs. 4th). I've put some vertical space between the entries for different pages.

Anyone else, please verify my choice in omitting some entries from the first page of this thread, and start adding the rest of the typos posted here. Or elsewhere. Or not yet posted at all.

Edit: Could someone with appropriate permissions please assign the page to the "Misc stuff" category, and maybe put a link on the main page somewhere in the "Contributing" column? Thanks!

20060906 - First Panel, Sarine's Second Speech Bubble: "I just thought I should make some token attempt to discourage you, from..." - don't need the comma after you. Should read: "...some token attempt to discourage you from..."

20060906 - Second Panel, Sarine's Second Speech Bubble: Major run-on sentence...maybe try.. "...we might be able to get to them first and save the girl...maybe even the other half elf."

20060918: Third panel, second speech bubble: "preformed" should probably be "performed".

20061027 - Fourth panel, Jon's second speech bubble should read: ".... Sara, do me a huge favor and be trained by the same idiots who trained that fuckwit over there. ...Please..."

20061108 - Third panel, the second part of Jon's first speech bubble. "Surly" should be "surely", and one of the "wasn't"s ought to go, although I don't think it matters which.
20061108 - Third panel, Jon's second speech bubble. In the second part, "Yean" should be "Yeah", and in the third part, "specially" is used while "especially" is more common (although the two words mean pretty much exactly the same thing, so it could just be a personal or dialectic idiosyncrasy).

20061120 - Third panel, first part of Riley's third speech bubble. "A GIRL HAS TO MAKE DUE SOMEHOW" should be "A GIRL HAS TO MAKE DO SOMEHOW".

Has been pointed out in the discussion thread. Add it here just for the sake of completeness.

20061127, 2nd panel, 1st text bubble

"Why did hell I ever agree to this" --> "Why the hell did I ever agree to this" or something like that.

Unless its intended to be in-coherent due to the crash landing?

Edited for proper format

20061127 - Fifth (final) panel, third part of Meji's second text bubble (assuming American English punctuation standards): "...I swear the great cosmic and almost assuredly not sentient will of the universe is on a mission to force me to relearn my definition of 'shithole in the middle of nowhere.' "

20061129 - last panel, 3rd bubble - Should probably read "Could we please go..."

Hey, if you guys get bored and want to attack the wiki with all the typos from the first twenty or so chapters too, I'm not above offering bonus prizes.

Bonus prizes may include being hung from the city gates on meathooks as a warning to future generations.
