can we still submit errors for the same page as non-contest 'entries,' but just to help you out in general for when you reformat the text later? The whole point of this is to make the comic better, not win things, right? ;)

No, you may not. The reason is that if there are multiple posts for any given page, the posts all become too cluttered for me to be able to use them, so it becomes counter-productive to add more posts. The typo-pointing-out in this thread is just a starting place... I still have to check every page, but this way I'll have a quick list of the really obvious stuff. If there are too many posts, it won't be a quick list anymore.

20060809, Panel Four, The Boss's Speech bubble section 3: "...too vital for us to pass us" should be "...too vital for us to pass up"

Helluva first post....

This one seems to have slipped through:

20060503, Panel Five, Sarine's First Speech Bubble: "disgruntaled" should be "disgruntled".
20060503, Panel Six, Guard's First Speech Bubble: "alright" is not completely correct here, "all right" should be used.

20060814, Panel One, Ellis' First Speech Bubble: "Oh, shut the fuck up, Jon." - Needs a comma
20060814, Panel One, Jon's Second Speech Bubble: "It's some kind of weird kitty version of pedophilia, isn't it?" - Needs a comma

20060818, First Massive Text Block: "happen around her" should be "happened around her"
20060818, First Massive Text Block: "had began" should be "had begun"
20060818, Third Massive Text Block: "It happened quick." should be "It happened quickly."

And since we can already see tomorrow's comic, albeit at a smaller resolution, here's a correction for that one:

20060819, First Massive Text Block: "Taking advantage of the novice's slowness. She charged towards him..." should be "Taking advantage of the novice's slowness, she charged towards him..."
20060819, Second Massive Text Block: "looked the meeting was breaking up" should be "looked like the meeting was breaking up".

The rules only allow for one post per page, so you're late, Graybeard. But I added your correction to my own post for this page.

Post subject:

Umm... I think the rule was meant as only one post per person per page.

Author: Imp-Chan [ Fri Aug 25, 2006 1:12 pm ]
Post subject:

One post per page. The idea is to keep the number of posts to a minimum so that the list can actually be useful.

Plus, if I allow more than one post per page, where's the competition?

Isn't the object to find all the errors, not just the first one the first person sees?

Author: Imp-Chan [ Fri Aug 25, 2006 6:44 pm ]
Post subject:

Nope! It's just to give me a starting place for where to look. I can't just leave a job like finding all the errors to the forum... no matter how much people love the comic there's always a chance that one will slip through, and then it will be my fault for not double-checking. So I am going to have to edit anyways, and that means that I need this thread to be as efficient as possible so that it doesn't make editing harder instead of easier.

If it's all that important to people to see all the errors pointed out, they can always PM the person who made that comic's post and ask them to add the appropriate corrections.

Now then, I believe the rules have been adequately clarified. So, further non-error posts to this thread will be a disqualification, and possibly will be deleted in the interest of keeping the thread ruthlessly on topic.

Doesn't matter to me. I'm not particularly interested in competing on finding errors; I just want to make sure Poe and Impy know about them.
