Cat Girls are a bit illogical, because the human rear is made so that we can run at decent speeds without having to balance with a tail. The strong hiney keeps us upright while running, unlike the running animals with tails.

And thats not even mentioning that humans being hairless is to help keep us cool while running around, and letting the sweat disapate, catgirls would be very hot whenever they ran around and did stuff, with fur on their ears, which is where the most heat leaves from you're body.

A lot of cosmetic changes don't make a lot of sense. Catgirls don't overheat that easily because they don't do that much work. They stand around looking sexy. Actual cats don't run around for long periods either. They make a quick pouncing attack, maul the target up, and then stand around licking themselves.

Catgirls obviously have the tail to counterbalance their enboobenedness. Something human females would invest in if their genes would sit down and think about it for a while. The only reason human women have tits when not lactating is as a sexual display for males anyway. Not that I would ever complain about such a thing. Enboobenedness is teh yum.

As for god killing catgirls every time we yadda-yadda, its a damn good thing he does. Remember that they have litters and a particularly short gestation time and mature to childbearing age in precious little time. Since they have no natural predators and so few of us are inclined to have our catgirls spayed, something is needed to keep their population in check. Divine wrath is as good as anything.

Alas my catgirl, Maggie, is getting overweight and sluggish these days. Except for mealtimes, she spends most of the day curled up on the sofa watching cartoon network. Though it was amusing when she got some pinesap stuck in her fur and we had to have her mostly shaved. She hid under the porch for a week. Then she left something's entrails on my pillow. They turned out to be mine.

Considering how little they like to wear clothes, I am amazed at how little they like the next logical step.

Yep, though it's pretty rare. I've seen pictures in medical texts. The tails vary in size, and don't have functional muscles. In modern hospitals, they are usual amputated and nobody else ever knows about it. A quick google found a picture of a recent case where the tail wasn't removed. In medieval Europe, such babies were often killed, because the tail was obviously put there by the devil.

Edit: I found a good summary article on the topic of human tails. The medical literature contains studies of about 100 of them. They vary quite a lot in size, number of vertebrae, musculature, etc. They are usually medically benign, and most are removed for cosmetic reasons.

It's also fun to google for the topic, and read some of the comments by creationists, who do a real song and dance to explain away the phenomenon. I think it's just an example of God's sense of humor. That, and a useful example of our connection to our primate relatives.

But... won't it be weird when he turns 12 and starts growing enormous boobs?
