"...people make an overpriced t-shirt."

Let's look at the reasons for buying this t-shirt (or any other webcomic t-shirt for that matter)...

1) It looks cool and amuses me. As a part of my personal wardrobe, my t-shirt should have something to say about me. What does the catgirl t-shirt say? It says I have a twisted sense of humor, I like fantasy and cartoons, and I probably have more than once participated in just the sort of physics conversations the shirt pretends to discourage... which also reveals to those in the know that I'm intelligent enough to appreciate the ironic aspect of the humor as well. If the object of communicating these things about myself is to enable me to bond with like-minded individuals, then it's probably a good idea to wear it.

2) I enjoy the work of the comic's creator, and I want to support him so that he can continue to create the comic I enjoy. By buying the t-shirt, not only do I directly support the artist in a monetary way, I also get to encourage my friends and/or fellow fans to do the same without any of that crazy effort stuff. Additionally, wearing the t-shirt in public enables me to direct the curious not-yet-fans to something they'll enjoy, that they too may wish to support. Thus, I am doing a service not just to the artist, but to other individuals who may have been looking for just such a comic to read.

3) I feel that the creator of the shirt has the potential to create other items that I might equally enjoy. By buying the shirt, I provide valuable feedback and support that allows the artist to generate other products that please me.

Conclusion: If you like the shirt, it's worth it to buy it since you have to wear something anyways, and at least this way the money goes to a good cause. If you don't like the shirt, the issue isn't really the price, it's just that you don't much like the shirt.

I suppose.

If it makes you feel any better, Kesty, until I developed webcomic fandom I owned exactly ONE t-shirt of the witty sayings variety. It says "Don't Annoy the Crazy Person," and has been a regular part of my wardrobe for about six years now. I can't bring myself to throw it away, despite the fact that it's terribly worn out.

Of course, now I have a ton of such t-shirts, particularly those that are webcomic-related. I can hardly talk about how people should support their favorite comics and then not do so myself, right?

Every time you try to tease some sense meaning meaning out of the heard dead words you works too hard to love it, your worlds to have to learn it, you’re hard to head to have it. You need meaning like you need another hole in your headetteski kiddo. Ditto to the toss pitch black and bother. Ditto to the other. Meanings are meant as others utter. I have said that once and will have the will to said it again with emphasis now on the first of all parts to have strive strong measure tempo and ring tune beat beat tap meter trill.

Is this random or something else?

Lets see: Somebody said the true nature of random is when you are asked to pick a number between 1 and 100 and you say yellow.

Therefore: Have a piece of pie.
