At the risk of being yelled at myself, both of you seem to be behaving... as though this were something more than an internet forum. Tossrock, where the hell did "There's every reason to believe..." come from? Slamlander, insulting someone in some of the less intelligent ways possible, as well as writing what seems to be an initiation/revenge fantasy, is hardly the best way to show maturity. Less so when you're claiming that the OTHER guy's being immature.

Call it whatever you want, you still just wrote paragraphs and paragraphs about how you beat up somebody who disagreed with you on an Inernet forum.

It's like watching little terriers yapping and trying to intimidate eachother.

Personally, I think it's kinda funny.

Actually I did too, for a while. I should have stopped after the writeup though. My only excuse for that is that it's past 0300 here.

And that's why this forum kicks ass. Instead of shouting at and banning the trolls and whinny little dipshits, you just point and laugh at them.

More forums should be like this.

There is reason to believe that :bang: :bang: :bang: ... no, didn't help.

I vote for less calling each other retards and/or retaliating, more neat information from Poe! :)

Yeah, I know. I'm a retard too.

No catgirls were harmed in the making of this post.

You so lie...I saw at least three die as a result of your verbage. I WANT THEM BACK!

Well, I've never performed necromancy on a catgirl before, but I'm willing to give it a shot...

A dead catgirl is good too.

Dead catgirls don't say no.

Neither do undead ones, if you do it right.

There's the problem that most seige engines have a scatter radius like unto the KT asteroid.

On the other hand, someone almost killed Alexander the Great with a bolt from a torsion ballista. Good craftsmanship and good marksmanship involved, there.

One of his henchmen immediately whined about how dishonorable a weapon it was, and infantry have been complaining about artillery nonstop ever since.

See Detritus the troll of Diskworld after he acquires his "crossbow."

Not quite as loudly as heavily armoured aristocracy about peasants with crossbows it seems (Or as loudly French aristocracy did about English archers).

The latest disposable villains in our D&D game tried to shoot our favorite barbarian Trogdor with a ballista as he came through a doorway.

He knocked it aside. I believe it has something to do with the fact that Trogdor doesn't like archers... something about rage and a natural 20...

I did it for the lulz. And the fact that proposing that Jon has hidden magical powers is goddamn retarded.

Considering that magical aptitude is, in most fantasy realms, a genetic trait... And that the original Jon character Poe has just told us was supposed to be pretty damn powerful... And that it would make sense, stylistically, for Jon and Sara to mirror each other in more ways than just gender... And that Jon just said something a few pages ago about a magical silence effect for his gun...

I would not say it's precisely retarded to suggest that Jon might possess magical aptitude, or, at the very least, magical devices.

I WOULD say that it's retarded to have a shitfest on my board! GRRRR!!

>.<'

Magical Devices: Of course, it's part of his job. Note that he expresses doubt as to whether it will work or not, probably because he is unfamiliar with magic.

Being able to cast slowfall on himself and he just grabbed a beam to hide the fact that he had cast it despite having shown absolutely no proficiency in the past and indeed a specific distrust of magic, not to mention a failure to use any magical abilities he might have had in situations where they would have been useful: That is goddamn retarded.

Not being trained or trusting in magic is one thing. It doesn't mean one does not have any latent ability.

As Impy pointed out, it is a genetic trait in most fantasy settings. Also, those who have not developed it through training usually first manifest natrual ability in stressful/life threatening situations with no idea how they caused whatever they just did to happen.

Although I find it more likely that Jon will say look up with a blade coming down on his head and either a) be saved by Sarine or b) suddenly casts some kind of "push" spell that knocks the bejesus out of Warrel.
