Meji should just be happy she didn't land in the great cosmic 'shithole in the middle of nowhere' in the sky. Compared to how that landing could have gone, the Confederacy isn't a bad place to be. :-)

[Edit: Tomorrow is not today. Time zones confuse me. Also, quote corrected for Poe's grammar, which I often don't even notice].

Yeah, they are more unlikely to start gunning her down unless she does something stupid, since it seems this town at least sees half-elves trade every now and then, and Ian knows his way around... If he wakes up. I don't doubt that some people are going to rush to see whatever the hell made the damn mess in their front lawn.

Nothing like making a flashy entrance...

Is it just me or does Ian seem... a bit Drained?

I'm sure that he over-extended himself. He may be powerful but he still has limits. Finding them is gonna be a bitch though.

Of course he's drained - he's had to deal with Meji as a travel companion bitching to him the entire flight. If you had to deal with her on an airline flight, the Air Marshals would've considered it "Justifiable Homicide."

He's got the patience of Gandhi.

I love the fourth-wall irony that Meji thinks that the will of the universe is not sentient...

The fangirl in me wants to scream, "MEJI!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, SHE'S BACK!!!!!".

But the adult in me says, "I wonder if this is a sign that Ian's body isn't a capable host for Anilis?"

Yes, you are. I don't think Ian has enough appendages to keep Meji happy.

As for limits of power, I wonder if they are just like exercise in the DBZ universe - the more you push, the greater your limits become.

I was gonna say something about feeling woozy from slamming into the ground fast enough to form a crater, but if you'd rather go with "drained of magical power from sustaining flight too long", I guess that works too. 8-)

Easily enough fixed.
If he can summon the right kind of magic to heal errant birth defects, he damn well can go Lord Naughtius on us.

And then the writers realize that you could wipe out all life on the planet the next time you fart so you suddenly find your previous godlike powers totally marginallized by the time the universe shits out its next freakazoid villain?

But first he must float around without a shirt, flexing his muscles and grunting, for a full fifteen minutes. Thirty to sixty minutes if a major villain is present. Ninety minutes if the villain's name happens to be Freeza.

Then strap a toaster to his head and he is good for three more episodes.

Only now do I realize that I do exactly the same rant every fucking time someone brings up DBZ.
Yays for repressed memories.

Why oh why couldn't Meji have gotten Anilis' powers?

With our luck, it would make her grow chesthair.
Fuck. In every way besides gender, Meji is already Vegeta.

Well, I sorta liked the earlier suggestion that Ian just isn't host enough for Anilis. So with any luck (Meji's), Anilis will decide this is true, and will split herself into two virtual goddesses and start "helping" both of them.

Then, when this adventure has some brief lull, Meji can take a quick trip back home, wow her prof and claim her degree, and return to the next bit of insanity.
