Wee Willie Winkie
Runs through the town,
Upstairs and downstairs
In his nightgown....

yeah, I don't know where I was going with that, but it all seems to tie in somehow...

Meji apparently has a binocular eyes spell... and Ian can apparently use it without even thinking (because it's painfully obvious that thinking is the one thing he definitely isn't doing right now...)

Well, he seems to be slowly regaining his ability to speak, and that's good.

Considering what he's saying, I'd say that's debatable. But at least it gets us into the vicinity of Riley and Leah agan, so I guess it's not all bad.

Wee Willie Winkie,
In his nightgown?
He'd be arrested,
If he lived in my town...

He could be doing the "sensing people mentally" thing rather than needing his eyes, assuming this is a nak he has picked up. When you have a range of god-like powers to play with, I'm guessing the sub-concious (he doesn't seem in concious control right now) would pick the more efficient and/or more generally useful.

You know, now that Ian has said a few more words, I'm starting to think that he is literally drunk on the power bestowed upon him by Anilis. I'm sure that Ian's awareness has jumped by an order of magnitude, heightening all his sensory inputs. Now he's seeing things he was never able to see before. It must be akin to the experience of smoking marijuana sprinkled with LSD and Crystal Meth, then washing down the aftertaste with a gallon of Red Bull.

I worry for Ian's sanity and mental cognition. I think Meji is going to have to perform some sort of power drain spell so that the power does not totally overwhelm him. Between the two of them, they should be able to keep Ian's power in check.

Thank goodness. You know, some people just aren't up to a really stiff amphetamine overdose. Ian is the sort who would be leery of drinking too much coffee in the morning.

That was my first thought. In a way, it makes this particular arc absolutely hilarious and terribly sad.

Mebbe the presence of Anilis in his mind/body is destroying Ian's intelligence/awareness such that Ian's body will become a vessel wholely and solely occupied by Anilis.

Sadly, all I could think of was, "Yo, Ricki, that my girlfriend! She ain't 'spossed to be havin' no penis!"

Ian is quite literally a blathering child, very much like he's blacked-out drunk, I agree.

You know, this one hurts. My wife and I both have Alzheimer's victims in our families, and the erosion of ability and personality in those folks is no laughing matter. The "looping" that Meji talks about in the first panel is particularly familiar, and particularly painful to relate to real life. Please, Poe, don't go there; this thing should be enjoyable to read, not painfully reminiscent of the way real-life loved ones are turning into the living dead.

Oh this is good; a half-elf chick with a dick and a goddess in a half-elf body with a dick.

Got some seriously confused chicks here.

Though I offer condolences for your circumstances, I find it much more likely that this is more to be poking fun at drunks and stoners. I mean, with a several bars on the university campus up here, I've seen guys behaving like Ian on a fairly regular basis.

Also I'm surprised that Riley's been outed since earlier it was hinted that it would stay one of those in-jokes and wouldn't be publicly stated.

I'm surprised too.

I also really hope that's the end of it, or I'm afraid this volume will have to be shrinkwrapped as mature content before it hits bookstores.

If one of your books isn't classified as mature content, I don't think you guys have been working hard enough.

Wasn't that her plan in the first place anyway?

I always thought so? NC17 or MA rating anyone...

Poe could do a "Jerry Springer Motif" version for the kiddies.*(early EN joke).
