Oh, whoops. I read the first part, saw Jon explaining Meji's plans to Sarine, and thought that Neko thought that I was saying Ian has realized Meji's plans... which was like, "duh". Didn't continue reading on through the 'didn't someone else try that stupid idea once?' bit.

My vote is on his sister having kicked the bucket. Anyone else see this ending in Ian going proper apeshit like the errants that inspired the elves to kick off the errant war in the first place? Just think of the mayhem that could ensue... :ninja:

Yes, I came out of lurking for that bit of (wishful thinking) baseless speculation. Maybe I like dark comics, ok?

I dont recall that ians sister was ever shown clearly, so could it be possible that leah is his sister? The sick fit she had would match up to that, but Im probably mistaken. If so though, then the bad news would surely be about the mother :-(

Nah, that would be Leah and Leah's Winkie.

Or maybe his sister "went Errant". (Although, I'm not sure how much damage a sickly young girl could do, especially if she hasn't been trained in the use of either magic or weaponry, even if she is violently insane.)

She was actually featured in several pages of Chapter 18, during which we learn that her name is Evelyn.

Plus, he totally leaves her behind when he hitches a ride with Leah and Riley a LONG time ago.

In fact Ian body had been sold by his mother to a magical organ dealer to covert the cost of his sister's treatment, and they are just waiting for the walking organ bag to return home...

Doesn't Ian have his eyes closed in the last panel?

Maybe he's using Anilis-vision and is talking directly to whatever. Maybe he'll even get a reply! hehe

Nah. The momentary closing of eyes is a tactic to make a character momentarily look cuter and more innocent.
Old anime and manga tradition.

Don't a lot of stoned people squint like that? I knew a guy who wandered around with his eyes closed after a few cans of weak Budweiser.

Thank you. Next time I run a wizard in a D&D game, you've given me a brilliant idea for use with the Ventriloquism spell.

Yeah. It seems like Ian has been gone for a long time (or maybe that was Poe-comic-time-dilation at work), and his sister was pretty bad off when he left.

As far as Ian going ape. If he's still high there's a chance and man that won't be pretty.

Agreed. I can't decide whether I like Richard or the priestess better.

Priestess, definately. Ventriloquism is nice, but you need someone to react to it, or you just come off as desperate for attention.

'sides, she's hot.

Yeah, they call it Siamese-eyed. My brother gets like that after his second bowl.

I went to the LFG about page and found this:
LFG wrote:
Looking For Group is a webcomic produced by two strapping young lads in the full blossom of their virility. Chests heaving and Adonis-like hair tossed back carelessly by the fires of Hephaestus, these willing stallions ply their trade like twin blacksmiths, their white-hot swords cooled only by the waters of youth and the sweat of their brows.

Thers are a lot of kids out there that get off on starnge things but I will NEVER EVER brow beat one of them again.

Well, really it was the casual cruelty (from the first couple of pages) that made Richard awesome. The only reason I didn't say I like him better is that we haven't really gotten to know the priestess yet.
