Mods? Yes. Dice? No. Think of it more like the RPing that goes on in the Roleplaying section here at Kyhm Forums.

Sounds interesting. I used to travel a lot, too.

Would you be interested in providing specifics? :)

I'm mostly just a half-breed/bastard/Eurasian.

My father, mother, and stepfather were in the Air Force.

Born in Florida. I've lived in Buffalo NY, two places in West Germany,
two places in New Mexico, two places in Delaware, Reading PA, and
four places in Michigan. Went sightseeing all over the place in that
time - saw a lot of Europe as a kid.

I was born in West Germany back when my dad was posted there. Shame I wasn't born in the East when he was in Berlin, but meh. Lived in Plattsburgh until I was around four or five, then Clinton got elected and my dad got his discharge as soon as he could.

Back on topic, who does live around Cincinati?
Because Forum gatherings are always fun, even if I'm not there.

Actor.

Ooooh, we're missionary fanboys of God *Lutheran, Pentacostal and non-denominational.
Your travels easily blows me out of the water though, so (if you don't mind me asking) was it worth in being an army brat?
I think I've suffered a lot from the whole gig (although much of it might be from autistic spectrum) but it's definitely been worth it, although I'm not sure if very much so (it's what I wrote originally though). I'm glad I was a TCK.

I've seen a lot of Scandinavia, and I've been to Germany, the Czech Republic, 'Slovakia', Finland, Poland and Britain on vacation and a few places in Asia. I'm very fond of languages and I'm learning Japanese (It is going very well, but I need [s]discipline[/s] routine.).

Sure, I'm right on the other side of the river. Which, ironicly, is the side of the river with all the awesome, but only the locals would know -and never admit to- that.

Give me a "when" and a "where" that I can google-map, and I'll be there.

You don't have Cincinnati city council to deal with.

I would go if I had a car. Indiana is just a hop skip and a jump away.

Almost heaven, west virginia
Blue ridge mountains
Shenandoah river -
Life is old there
Older than the trees
Younger than the mountains
Growin like a breeze

All my memories gathered round her
Miners lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine
Teardrops in my eye

I hear her voice
In the mornin hour she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
And drivin down the road I get a feelin
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday

Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads

Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
Take me home, now country roads
Take me home, now country roads

Well...thanks to you I now have to re-view "Whisper of The Heart." I was planning it already but now you've gotten my mind stuck on the song.

Been through there once. Sure is purty, just like the song says. Though I wouldn't want to try and make a living out of those gullies.

I'm in Dayton this weekend partying down with the inlaws. They're Italian, so we had one Christmas bash last night, there's another tonight, and another tomorrow after opening presents. It's a rugged life, but I'll wave in the direction of Cincinatti if I can make it to high ground.

I'm not too far out of the way. I'm up just east of Columbus, OH.

Incidentally I'm an Air Force brat as well. Born at Chanute Air Force base in Rantoul, Illinois. Go figure I work with planes now too.

Army brat, yes.

Son to my mother, no. She is not a good person, and I went through a
ton of bullshit after ending up in Michigan with my dad. Depression,
few friends, and also a bit of the autism thing same as you.

But hell, I've seen a lot of places. Sadly, no Scandinavia or United Kingdom.
