Would locals be interested in attending a reader gathering sometime in January? I think we'd probably just pick a Panera and hold it there, but it might be fun to meet folks and hang out.

What is a Panera?

Ohio isn't too far from Michigan...

A decent upscale sandwich, soup, latte, and baked goods chain. Just as a cup of coffee will sell at Starbucks for triple the price at a normal restaraunt, a cherry turnover will sell profitably at Panera for triple the price of a turnover at your local family bakery.

They make decent brownies, typically the second best in any neighborhood/muncipality, but only a local brownie fanatic can know where the best brownie is made, so a Panera is a good bet for over-indulgence of that sort.

They also, you know... are close to our house. We're kinda lazy, and of the places near our house they have the most room and quiet.

So you're going to ruin the quiet?

"I like the quiet."

Zander Harris, in a face-off with an undead redneck wizard, standing next to a bomb about to blow his school to rubble.

But your house is now in the Pacific Northwest, correct? Which would mean Kest, Xan, Rusty and myself would be unable to get there.

Oh...I thought you were smart and got as far away from redneck Kentucky as fast as you could. Well...as things stand, I wish I could go but if I did I doubt I would have enough gas to make it back up from there. Have fun though.

I used to live in Norway, now I live in Hong Kong once again. I've never set foot on the american continent I'm afraid unless I've been really lucky with the Earth's orbit around the sun, but doesn't the Galaxy move and then there's the fourth dimension...
ah sorry, ADHD.
Well, it'd be nice, but y'know, I can't.

Would you be interested in providing specifics? :)

What's frightening is the guy I compare world domination schemes with lives near Brisbane...

Your sig. and the link is really awesome.

Is it something lame like nationstates or something awesome one can play? Or settling for a moderate hope, a cooperative work of fiction?

Which link, the EuropeWiki one or the EuropeanAffairs one?

EuropeanAffairs, by the way, is based on NationStates (we use it for stats like population and economy, though some players have RPed without an NS nation if they don't like NationStates), but is moderated a lot more strictly and we like to keep things more realistic, so no Star Destroyers or catgirls or catgirl Star Destroyers, though cutting-edge technology like THEL and the F-22 and some slightly more out-there stuff like the Apocalypse from RA2 is usually allowed if it's not too powerful and you RP it properly. Just register, start a NationStates nation if you want (you may have to work things out with the administration if you go without an NS nation, though), and RP.
