Well, we can see that Fred is still very humble and loved his wife dearly.

Also, Randy's mom is apparantly ok, as she chewed him out for killing her from the looks of the bottom text of the comic.

What does one do with oneself after that? Obviously one goes on living, but how do you even start to cope?

And yes, of course Randy's mom is all right. The comic is inspired by life, it doesn't imitate it exactly.

I think the same thing happened when they showed Davan's dad having Altzheimers (I know that's spelled wrong) and everyone suddenly got freaked out.

Ten bucks says the next 'Davan' strip is Davan contemplating that finally, after so much bullshit, things are finally starting to come around.

A little smile 'll hit the corners of his lips...

"Yeah...Listen, I have something to tell you'

So who thinks Fred will move up to Boston?

I don't think Randy would force Davan to Dallas and out of the picture al la Monette style.

I figure Fred gets put in a home and the house is sold or Dahlia moves back in to watch over him.

I think Fred moving to Boston with Davan would be interesting, and would make sense. He's lost his wife, so he wants to feel more connected with his family-Moves to Boston to be closer to Davan. Maybe Dahlia moves with him. Or Dahlia suggests it. I dunno, But I could see it in my head.

My guess is that Fred is going to commit suicide, rather then be a burdcen on his son.

No, I don't think Fred would do that (suicide), but I'm not sure about the moving to Boston thing. Today's comic already stated that Davan would go back to TX if his dad needed more hands on. And Dahlia's been on her own for a bit now, so she's more than capable of taking care of her father in the beginning stages. I'd be heartbroken if SP moved solely to Dallas though.

Actually I was fully expecting it to be Fred who died. The set up was perfect for it, he kept trying to tell her and tell her he was sick and it never happened. I guess this way is kinder to Fay, she didn't have to suffer and watch Fred slowly fade.

Randy always was brilliant. pittifully his qualities are wasted only on the webcomic. he should have touched a bigger audiens.

I still hope he will publish a Somethingpositive book, like nemi and queen of the wands.

RIP Faye. Yes, I know she's a webcomic character.

Ooh, I like what Peejee just said in the Feb 24 comic. That's a lovely little piece of foreshadowing. Now it's missing Jason's "kicked in the nuts" look. Can we assume that he made that same high-pitched noise audible only to small dogs before he commented on the 'OMG Peejee might move to Texas" thing.

I believe the reason for staying in Texas was specified earlier. That there was the possibilty that if they moved Fred would wake up every morning not knowing where the hell he was.

Alzheimers sufferers usually have to keep things strictly the same or they have sever problems when things are different and they don't know why.

Well, another reason for Davans pop not wanting to move is just the nature of older folk and being attached to familiar settings and things. But if he was asked to move up to Boston at some point, his response might be something like "Over my dead--BLAARGH." But I just have a hard time time picturing what it would be like for him in Boston, maybe it would work...
