I'd be in favour of a Miao-visit. :D We have a comfy futon and such.

You haven't been to the Fort Davis Mountain Resort then. Easily the best looking scenery in this entire country.

Also: I agree with Yorik.

Texas can also be windy.

And Plano is mile upon mile of nothing but suburbs.

Traveling by train is the best ever. It takes forever and it's no cheaper, but you can move around, you can see the land more intimately than anything but walking, and the stewards treat you like an adult, and don't baby you or condescend like airlines.

The only reason I'll ever take a plane for domestic traveling is if I have some sort of time constraints.

Whever you end up going, post pics.

Indyfuud! *amused*

Clarifications:
~ My time limit is from May 10 or 11 to May 28. Class starts on the 29th.
~ My boyfriend may want to tag along with me. Some of you might have seen him on IRC before as "Triskelios". Combined, we basically take up one decent-sized American's worth of volume/mass/space-in-general. XD

So far:

East Coast:
Psycojes: New York
Skjie, Wren: Toronto
Parallax: Toronto
Wolf346: Canada?
OmnipotentEntity: Florida

Middle America:
EC: Illinois
Arwing: Kansas City
Yorik: Texas
Clay: San Antonio

West Coast:
Tossrock: UCSD
Spools: Seattle

So I could either head for what appears to be a Texan cluster of KyhmForumers, or I could head north for Wren and Skjie (and I do kinda wanna see what Epoch is like, sounds like fun) and hit random people along the way... not sure about flying to the West Coast, though, unless I did that and tried road-tripping my way back. Which is probably not a good idea.

Either way, I'mma try not to spend too much time in anyone's places...

Well, the next Epoch event is the May long weekend, 18~21, but it'll be my last event for the foreseeable future before I go out west so I don't know what good company I'd be. :-? Also, Wolfie doesn't share the same city as Skjie and I, he's a good few hours away but it's not terribly far.

I'm pretty sure that I can turn my car into a boat capable of crossing the Indian and Atlantic ocean and then road trip to America from Brazil!

Ready the the sororities! I'm prepping for the worlds greatest panty raid!

Swing by here first, I'll help paddle.

You need to hurry up and move to sydney. Then with proradium moving to melbourne in a couple of months, eastern australia might look more attractive for the foreigners to visit here and get attacked by the wildlife.

I'm in the frigid north, as well. But I don't really know Miao and I live in a BFE part of the world- if somehow you find a reason to couch surf towards the Upper Peninsula of MI, you're free to stay a night or two- this offer goes for most of you, except for Shoons- if only because I'm afraid she'd bring along a laptop and savagely rape my inter-tubes with hot boy-on-boy action.
