It has nothing to do with Warcraft III. Blizzards newest releaseis a FPS set in the Starcraft universe...and apparently its going to be for the X-Box.

Let me get this straight.

1) They implied the game in development was starcraft 2. A now obvious falsehood.

2) They abandoned their loyal fan base.

3) They sold their souls to "The Evil"

How I wish I could exact some form of punishment on the bastards.

[EDIT] I can't find a actual place to complain so I am sending it here support@blizzard.com maybe they'll get the hint if they get enough letters.

Did some reading on their website and it looks like the game is going to be for multiple platforms, not just for the X-box. However this does not alleviate the overall suckiness of this venture.

Actually, that looks pretty cool. Sucks that it's going to be a console game, but I can deal with that... as long as they don't pull a Bungie (yes, I'm still bitter about that. They were such a good company, too...) and put it on the Xbox <i>only</i>.

That doesn't seem too likely, though, unless you have sources of information other than those I've found. I quote:

woo, i just bought an Xbox the other week!

and yes it sucks we were misled to believe that it would be SC2, but this looks pretty cool, and i'm much better at FPS's than i am at RTS games, but i still suck.

oh well, by the time it comes out my Xbox should be chipped so i'll be able to get a pirate of the unsucky NTSC version instead of the sucky PAL version.

While Im better at FPSs than any other type of computer program (its really easy to be better than awful I guess) I have never been able to play them on a consol system, I mean seriously how can you aim with a joypad?
The mouse give full control of vision and aiming is simplified to a level any fool can accomodate. I play RTSs and RPGs single player only because a computer is mostly stupid enough to let me win. (In warcraft 1 you attack any enemy building and they all swarm on that location, ignoring everything else. I flanked so many of those things so quickly useing that trick).
Any way my point is that I can't be competitive on the level that an RTS and RPg require me to be against other people so Im sadly restriced to FPSs on Computers forever. The end result of this is that I have only ever purchased one blizzrd game as they make mainly RPGs and RTSs, Warcraft, it cost $40.
Thats all they will ever take from me, ever.

I just got this in responce to a letter I wrote them expressing my displeasure with their choice of path for this game. And as actor says, its a hell of alot easier to play FPS's on a PC.
