...Actually, he's not a samurai, but I wonder how Dian Wei would stand up to any of the famous knights of the Crusades. He was pretty strong and frickin' scary. Even Three Kingdoms admits his martial prowess.

I never said he did. I merely said that katanas > broadswords. By quite a bit, in fact.

The Chinese had a similar tactic, only reversed.

It worked out rather well for Wu a couple of times.

If you haven't, read Three Kingdoms. F'ing awesome, but you have to read the notes, otherwise you'll get about half truth and half BS. Fire attack at Yi Ling > you.
