The subject at hand is that you have no monetary stake in the boards, only a personal desire to stay here. You've been here a long time, yes, but that doesn't mean you have to stay behind and bitch about fair treatment. As long as I've been watching, far longer than I've been participating, I've seen you rip apart new participants and otherwise just be a bully to everyone.
You may have garnered respect by being here a long time and perhaps by being friendly behind the scenes, I don't know. From what I do see, it seems like you have a habit of turning anyone's argument into a straw man about a minor point and using that to strengthen your own position, despite that not actually being a way to strengthen an argument.
I'm not saying you're a bad person or a bitch, or anything like that, I'm just saying if you dislike the way the boards are run so much, you aren't required to participate. Just walking away would seem to be a sight better than staying around and making participation miserable for others.
if this community was visited only by those who would pay for it, it would be a very small community. Something Awful is the only P2P forum i know of that is successful, an that is because it is BIG, and full of event-like threads that encourage participation. Kyhms is a small backwater community on the internet, and if the 'owners' want to play the 'my way or the highway' card, they are well within their rights, but cutting such a small userbase by any amount would be very dangerous.
Not that i think Carrots speaks for the 'owners' in any sense whatsoever.
