Because it grows anywhere and the hippies love it, also most people seem to think that its more socially acceptable than booze, which I disagree with but its not like anyone listens to me.

A good reply, but completely inaccurate. I rate four stars out of five.

Don't think this deserves a thread, but I got picked up for STA-21. The navy is going to send me back to college, pay me, and pay for my school. I'm fucking floating on air right now. Three years of college paid for and a paycheck to boot!

What's the catch? Here, these kind of things mean that you are required to sign for an additional decade or some such.

After I get commissioned I have a five year committment, which is only a year longer than your standard requirement for an officer that's going through the ROTC program (which I will have to participate in while in school) or from OCS. The only difference is, I'm in the navy before, and I remain enlisted through it.

This means I'm still active duty while at school. I'm still subject to drug tests, etc, but I receive full pay and benefits.

To sum it up, 5 years minimum as an officer after I get commissioned. Nothing too bad, considering what I'm getting to do it.

I know a lot of people that work in the financial sector and as far as I know all they do all day is send stupid joke emails to each other, I'll skip the actual (rather lame) joke and instead just post the proof that none of them know how to trim an Email down a bit. This is everything after the end of the email(its a spoiler because it takes up a few pages of text):

I don't think that kind of issue is limited to just the financial services sector. From the few emails I've seen at work, most people have no idea of the merit of trimming email. Of course, since I work in a courier company specialising in servicing banks, lawyers and travel agencies, it's possible that the contagion just spread. One of my supervisors is ex-bank staff and sending/receiving joke emails seems to take up about half his day.
