At this point we all know that we've moved on to other internet havens So where do you maek your poast? SA, *chans, Expatria (ha)? I for one warm a little corner of the internet called SE++, a division of the Penny Arcade forums. I know Wandering Idiot posted there like twice, too. For the greater part, I've rejoined the anonymous legion of internet leechers; the faceless mass that takes from the content providers and give nothing in return. Other than that, I very occasionally post on some of the *chans. |

When I get on forums I'm on Futa Palace, Darknest, or a chan but i don't really post much except for encouragment for writers and calling out newfags. And here of course. Most of the time i'm on WoW or Guild Wars. You can find me on the thunderhorn and dunemaul servers under the names Mooshake(thunderhorn) and Buban(dunemaul), while on guildwars you can reach me as Jinto Rotwood or Strawberry Mooshake. And other than those places I'm skirting the outside of my school's social workings to find a date for prom. |

I caught the Facebook virus at the very beginning of the epidemic (I happened to get an invite when I was bored DON'T JUDGE ME I didn't know what I was getting into and now I can't quit) and I've fallen back on actually making LiveJournal posts more frequently. Also, y'know, school and work full-time and such. I haven't really got much of a life on or off line. |

Fixed for truthiness. There's a bit too much stupidity around the PA forums for my tastes, what with the 14-year-old Halo fans and whatnot, although to be fair I haven't poked around their Debate Club equivalent much. I used to hang out on the PWOT forum, but I don't really have a chance to post on forums from work nowadays. It is too bad this place is mostly dead now. I just looked up this thread the other day, because I lent my hardback copy of God's Debris to someone and wanted to remember the flaws I picked out. That thread ended too soon, but I still got to talk about Nietzsche and evolutionary biology. And this was in the general discussion section. I'm a bit surprised no one's mentioned the new Errant Story boards. I haven't been over there myself, mostly due to not being caught up with the comic and not spending much time online lately, but I'd assume there are a fair number of former forumers over there. Unless they've all been banned in justifiable purges, if Impy wanted to make the new one work-safe. |

I still follow the strip, but not really interested in discussing it anymore. All I recall of the new site was some vaguely blue-purplish background and a horrible setup. |

Don't forget the horrible pictures of the main characters at the top corners of their page. And how (at least on my browser) their rant boxes don't even have the same color the whole way down. Honestly their new forums is filled with just as much stupid as they were here, only now the stupid takes the forum of crappy hentai jokes and sailor moon spoof pages. I have an account on their but i rarely drop into it. Their new friend/admin Viking-something-or-other gives me a wierd vibe that I like to stear clear of. |

i mostly hang out with a collection of reformed and suffering drawhores from /b/. We've got a few places but it's all pretty low key and quiet, or full-blown drama hissy-fits, which i usually miss. I wanted an SA account but they don't accept the paypals, which is what i get paid through for my art commissions. What i really want is a goofy art forum with a large, or productive community to participate in, with some emphasis on self improvement but not totally SRS BSNS all the time like CA. I'm closer to the shitty sonic fanart on DA than i am to the level of seriousness on CA. (Speaking of devianTART, i bought a full account there, and figure it's $30 US wasted but, oh well.) Also, linterested in a good RP or collaborative writing forum, but i'm really too lazy to look. (which means i musn't be all THAT interested in finding one.) |
